Argyle Square Hotel

The hotel room I stayed in was not quiet as it was close to reception and some of the doors in the corridor that may have helped with that were not kept closed. I woke up three to four times one night I stayed there because of this. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. However, it was impossible to refill the kettle or my own water bottle in the sink in the bathroom, which makes staying there more difficult. They did give me another water bottle for free, but in theory they should have charged me for it based on their signage. Although I expected the room I stayed in to be small, it felt tiny because of the odd layout, and the window looked onto a courtyard that was so small and dingy that I felt a bit claustrophobic. I recognize I wasn't paying for the best accommodations, and I was grateful there was something more affordable for someone traveling solo, but this hotel was still a dissapointment.

The hotel is a bit tired and basic, the staff however are really friendly and attentive. My bathroom was teeny tiny as was the sink so water would constantly just fall to the floor. Okay for one night but not a long stay

Staff were lovely very polite but unfortunately needs some updating but as we only used it for sleeping in it did us room on small side but all in all was fine

Nice little hotel, this is not the Ritz but fulfilled all my needs at a reasonable price right next to Kings X Okay for a 2 day stay Staff very helpful and polite Would recommend this hotel

Hotel was neat and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with 24 hours access. All in all, it served me very well as a solo traveller for one night.

Great location and good price. I prefer a firm mattress and found the bed very comfortable. Friendly staff at desk. Small room but perfect for a place to stay for a night out.

Basic standards but good value for money and rooms were clean. Plenty of TV channels to watch and rates and coffee making facilities in room.

I understand the hotel is lower priced and we just needed a place to lay our heads. But it was so tiny that it just wasn’t functional. Bathroom was impossible to manover. No place for a suitcase, bag, a towel or a wash kit. Needed to use the bed for everything. But then where are you sleeping?! lol

Well kept, clean and friendly hotel a short walk from major transport hubs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable.

It was a decent place. No complaints. Beware of the 3 story walk up It was difficult with a suitcase The gentleman helped me up but down was all me
