Argyle Square Hotel

Good property but no elevator

Staff were so nice and helpful - check in and out was really easy and the staff were great letting us keep our bags there for as long as we needed. I’d trust this hotel to book again on a future visit. Facilities basic but had everything we needed :)

Ok tiny room. Could do with redecorating. Windows were dirty.

Nice small hotel staff very good room was tidy but a little bathroom was a little small for a 6ft 2 man.

All good for price. The hotel tries hard. The bed was v firm but l had a good night sleep. The showe was excellent.

Perfect for solo traveller

Nice clean room, friendly staff. Room was cleaned and had fresh towels. Bathroom is absolutely tiny though was a struggle to fit in the shower and the room itself was about tight and I'm not a big guy. But for a two night stay was perfect. Location is great, station is down the street as are a load of bars, shops and restaurants.

view was a utility/boiler room? noticeable paint cracking, black mould in shower, bad smell from drains in bathroom, chair in room broken, smaller towel had brown stains, bedsheets had dirt on, headboard loose

Excellent price, friendly staff, clean, but rooms could do with some mainteance.

Super tiny room conveniently located near King's Cross Station. Narrow staircase with no elevator to get to and from the rooms.

Just awful. Dirty , damp , fruit flies in my room . Nothing good about it other than reception

The room was clean, there is no lift and i did not sleep very well because there was noise from the room above at the middle of the night. Convenient location.

Really great location for St Pancras and Eurostar. I had a single room. It was small but clean and comfortable with table and chair and free WiFi. The bathroom was tiny adequate and the shower was great. Basic Toiletries provided. Others available at a charge. TV, tea and coffee making facilities, water and a piece of fruit on arrival. If you want luxury, sound proof rooms with fridge and air conditioning then you'll need to pay way more for your hotel in this area. I borrowed hairdryer from reception and they stored my luggage. The staff were friendly and polite. 5 minutes and you are at the Eurostar terminal. 10 minutes the British Library. My room overlooked Argyle Square and it was very quiet. I would definitely recommend for a few nights stay. Kings Cross Station is 5 minutes walk with excellent transport links to all over London and beyond. For what I paid this was great. It is a small hotel and I don't think it had a lift. No restaurant but lots nearby including Granary Square and Coal Drop Yard.

I didn't expect such a great service and comfort! They even gave me some snacks for the late dinner which came really handy!

Room was extremely small to go to the toilets we had move the suitcases to enter the bathroom. My bed had springs digging into me so sleep wasn't good. Check in was a little slow but checkout guy was lovely. A nice touch with free water and apples.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the bed was very small for 2 people, the plug sockets were positioned very unhelpfully compared to the bed (above the headboard and high on the wall to one side so the cable didn’t reach the bedside table). It’s excellently located. The shower tray was flooding and the towels were quite scratchy. The walls were very thin so you’d hear everything going on outside your room and in anyone nearby. Overall, not a comfortable stay but if you’re travelling from King’s Cross or St Pancras and just need somewhere to sleep, it’s cheap and convenient.

The positives were, nice reception staff, comfy mattress, location ie close to railway stations and cost. Negative for us, room was in basement so warm and damp smelling. Aircon was very noisy. It’s apparent that the owners were trying to make it more pleasant than it was. Potpourri for smell and apples and biscuits in the room.
