really great room, good food and i sleep really well here. will always look to stay here when up on business.

I like this place. Sleep well

The good bits ,Arrived and check in was fine, Staff are friendly, room clean and tidy. Bad bits - reception didn't tell us breakfast finished at 9.30am and so on Sunday we missed it, as went down at 9.45am, I have never stayed anywhere were breakfast finishes so early. Saturday night meal, was OK, but restaurant ran out of Halloumi fries so had to chose alternative. Ordered Fish cakes for main, only one on the plate, says cakes not cake on the menu (sorry that's picky, but still) Ordered apple crumble for dessert but I don't think it was apple. Wife had chicken, which was dry, no sauce. No real atmosphere in the bar area, very small and bit of background music which the barmen turned up, as he couldn't understand why it was so quiet. Went back to the room, we stayed in 201 and the Irish fella in room 202 was having a meltdown with someone or over the phone, shouting, swearing and banging stuff, doors etc. He then must have fell asleep and started again at 5am. reported to reception on leaving and she said manager would note. No offer of any money back and couldn't be bothered to ask at this point, was more concerned with getting home and having breakfast. Good job we only live in Grimsby which is a short drive, if I had travelled from away I would have been more gutted. Anyway, won't be returning.

Room was very good although the plumbing could do with being updated. Staff were not particularly pleasant except for the breakfast server who was great.

Really lovely

The people are lovely here and i have the best nights sleep. The food is great and the rooms are always clean and nice. Home from home.

Really nice place to stay. Quiet, nice food and good room

The approach to the hotel was quite pleasant, unfortunately, that's where it ended. The receptionist was not exactly welcoming (barely a greeting and no smile). When we got to our room we found the bin still full from the previous occupants. We do understand that things can be missed,but when I reported it to reception hardly any reaction was noticeable. When asked for a second time later, she was quite abrupt and said "yes, it WILL get done" with no hint of an apology. Throughout our stay, we did not see a single member of staff smile or look as though they wanted to be there. The room was very basic, only 1 socket (behind the kettle), no bedside lights and tatty (torn) wallpaper. We attended a function and the food was very nice and well presented however the service was a bit slow.

The evening I ate there coincided with a busy wedding reception and as a result there were delays. Not the staffs fault - they were clearly working flat out

This is a good hotel with friendly staff and generally good all round service. Nice bar area thats quiet. Table waiting could be improved not in the service generally which is very good but attention to detail such as condiments on tables especially when serving things that need them. Some staff ask but others can miss. This is not a big thing and overall i would definitely recommend. Some staff are very good at explaining especially if you have not stayed there before...others make assumptions.

Beautiful hotel. From walking through car park right to room - everything, everywhere was clean, tidy and really well looked after. Restaurant serves really good quality food and the staff were fabulous - even though they were really busy with a wedding party. The room was amazing - lively size, spacious and clean. All facilities (kettle, hairdryer etc) all available and good quality.

Great place to stay and very close to the job of work

The room was spacious and comfortable, although was really hot the first night we stayed we had a fan in the room which cooled us down. The staff were all pleasant and friendly especially the lady serving and accomodating breakfast in the morning, she made our stay and we only saw her 2 mornings for a few minutes but she was so friendly and accommodating with a really good character, a real asset to the Hotel, i would stay there again just to have her serve me breakfast!

Second time we have stayed at Ashbourne Hotel, and again the service was impeccable. Even though there was a wedding on, we didn’t feel like we were in the way or our needs couldn’t be met. Stayed in Room 310 (first floor) which was a quiet and comfortable.

One of the main things that I thought was a great perk with this property. It’s a factor that they offer free EV charging. There is only two charges so it’s long as people share this works very well

Was ok but not amazing

Room 205 in the annex, had to go to reception at 1.30 am due to very noisy pipes/heating system. Staff were good and gave us the choice of two other rooms to sleep in but we were able to leave our luggage in original room until checkout. Annex quite noisy when people coming and going but rooms and beds comfortable
