first time staying here, Its a nice big pub with several rooms downstairs, pool table etc. We stayed in room 11, a small room but had everything you needed for an overnight stay, it was also modern as was the ensuite so I guess it had some level of refurbishment not to long ago. Good sized mugs in the room instead of the small cups you get in some places although they were glass which is not my favorite (personal preference). All the staff we came across were pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast was basic, all the bare essentials. Cooked breakfast was excellent, a full english and the ingredients appeared to be a decent quality. Easy few minutes walk into town with a few pubs, a couple of restaurants and plenty of take aways, Car park is only small but there are other areas easily accessible to park in. Overall for the price charged and the quality of what you got you really cant complain. Only issue was with the window open the noise from the road outside, it appeared to be quite a busy road and started early in the morning. For a short stay its definitely worth looking at.

I stayed here during the midsummer festival. It was within walking distance of everywhere. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The room was on suite. The room supplied refreshments with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was available to book, but on this occasion I did not need breakfast.

A stopover on the way to watch the grandson play football.
The hotel was convenient for the centre of Middlewich, where we found an excellent Italian restaurant.
The check-in was dealt with well by the lady who checked us in, especially as I had made a mistake in the booking.
Parking was limited with double yellow lines on the surrounding roads but the lady who checked us in sorted us out for parking.
Room was compact, the shower was efficient.
Didn't stay for breakfact as we had to get to the football.

The outer look is deceptive. This place has been refurbished to a higher standard. Great price too!
The breakfast is amazing good bacon excellent sausages. Rich Lichfield yogurts. Help yourself to anything.
Staff are friendly and helpful. There are a few sweet cats sunbathing- so cute. I will Definately stay again!!
