Excellent hotel! I was really pleased with my choice, especially when I walked past some of the others. I booked late and arrived an hour after that. No problem at all. Check in was smooth and fast. The room was spacious, airy and clean with tea and coffee facilities and toiletries provided. Staff were friendly and well mannered. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again

Room was very basic, but we didn’t miss anything.. We did not have expectations but for the price we paid and considering that it is 5 min to the beach it was all good. The lady checked us in 3 hours earlier which was very appreciating, thank you.

Great location, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. I was very pleased with my stay. Free parking. I hope to be back in the future.

Booked the cosy room which was ideal for the one night stay. The mattress and pillows could be improved at small cost for extra comfort. The room was clean and well equipped for our requirements and the staff were very helpful. We will definitely stay again.

The room was quite spacious with a good shower room. Mattress was a bit springy, parking looked a bit dodgy, but was ok in the end as I left just before 8am. So all good

Parking was terrible..3 cars deep and nobody could leave for work etc. the bed I slept in was awful, very uncomfortable because of springs and metal ties. Plus no mattress cover. The staff were not available most of the day. I liked the area and beach etc, but I wouldn't stay at the Brooklands Hotel again.

Handy location close to the pier and the beach but has limited parking and is rather shabby and run down. No breakfast option but then, plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is, after all a budget hotel and overall was good value for money.

If it says there is air conditioning THERE IS NOT!! Did get a fan from the desk tho but very stuffy since it’s an old building. Temp was 33 degrees! The shower wasn’t clean and found someone’s hair in there. The only good thing about this place is they let me park there way before check in time and it’s literally 3 min walk to the beach which is why I wanted to stay there in the first place. But I wouldn’t stay there again.

I didn’t have to pay extra for parking and staff let me keep my car there an extra hour after check out. My room was a bit tired and the bathroom could do with an update/refresh. Overall good value for money!

This old school B&B type hotel (without the Breakfast!) was adequate for our needs. The owners / staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was good they advised us on where to park in the car park. There’s not many places that still require a copy of your driving licence or passport for ID purposes but this is one of them. Luckily I had this available but it was not made clear beforehand. The bathroom was small and shower not the best, but adequate for a couple of nights. The room was a bit dusty, I don’t think the cleaner had done a great job. Beware of heart attack hill close by. It’s steep coming back from the town. I would advise getting a taxi if you can’t walk far or have had one too many shandies in Wetherspoons. There’s a pub (The Hop Inn) and shop around the corner, also a chippy. Nice Italian across the road. You can get to the beach by walking past the pub and then turn at the end. Left towards the pier or right to a less steep zig zig walk down to the beach.

The room was clean and spacious. Coffee, tea, biscuits, and water were provided. Basic toiletries provided. Car park was full and if any space is available no guarantee you won’t be blocked. Friendly staff. Had to pay extra 50 pounds deposit which were refunded on check out day.

The hotel is clean staff were good but the whole place could do with a refurb- tiles were up in the bathroom - table that the coffee machine sits is falling apart- no kettle and parking yes is tandem and if you are leaving early you have to wait for someone to ring whoever is blocking you in

Free parking was good. Room quite dusty and stains on the carpet. Paintwork was chipped and flaky and there was lose wallpaper and sloppy painting. Bathroom door handle was loose, bathroom cabinet wouldn't open and toilet seat was wobbly. Girl on reception tried to tell us it was meant to be wobbly. TV in room, coffee machine and kettle provided. We were able to get hairdryer from reception.

Absolutely lovely staff very polite and helpful and welcoming. First impressions of the hotel are lovely its clean welcoming and fresh feeling. Unfortunately the mattress in our room (22) was absolutely awful! Not fit for sleeping on at all. We made do for 1 night but had our stay been longer I couldn’t have done it. It pinged creaked and flattened like a pancake upon sitting or laying. You could seriously pick up a free one on marketplace in better condition than that was in. However everything else was great nice hot powerful shower. Room smelt amazing the incense pot was beautiful smelling. It was clean and to a good decorated standard. But please replace the mattress!
