Check in very good and quick. Parking a bit hit and miss and would expect there to be problems if the hotel was full. Very clean room and excellent bathroom. Everything worked as it should. Would stay here again without a second thought.

Really lovely stay. Room was lovely. Staff very polite and friendly. My only suggestion would be that they may want to be a little more flexible on the full English breakfast offering I.E. if a guest would like to swap a sausage for a hash brown, it’s not a flat no. Otherwise fabulous stay. Recommend.

Stayed here many times and like this hotel a lot. However just stayed 2 nights and the room did not get serviced after the first night.. Quite disappointing. Good cooked breakfast. Will continue to stay here on my trips to Sheffield

Lovely relaxed place to stay. The reception, bar, breakfast area all spotless and exceptional service from all members of the staff team. We loved the help yourself area on each floor - it contained fresh milk in the fridge along with tunnocks chocolate snacks. There were top ups for your tea/coffee making area and plenty of biscuits too. The room was clean and well maintained. Really comfy bed, a Nespresso type coffee machine with free pods, TV, loads of plug sockets,bathrobes.... The bathroom had a huge shower and twyfords toilet and sink. (Proper stuff). Suburb location so nice a quite. Breakfast was great... all the continental stuff you could wish for and a hot option ordered from the menu. I had the full English my wife had eggs Benedict. But lots of other options available. Only downside, there is no lift as its an old building but the ground floor has plenty of accessible rooms. All in all a fantastic place to stay, if we return to Sheffield this is where we will stay.

We enjoyed our stay and was happy that breakfast was included. We weren't able to get a parking space at the hotel so we had to park outside.

Wonderful breakfast, Only problem was that bed was too soft so I got backpain. Note: they don’t have a lift and there are steps up to front door. Walking distance from university and botanicgardens.

Some of my issues may be cultural so keep that in mind. Also, some may be due to local building codes but could be fixed. Here is the list of issues, 1) No lift. You have to drag your luggage up three flights and if the key does not work, you have to walk back down and back up, to get into your room. 2) The breakfast was not good. For some reason they cooked my poached egg in vinegar water. And the ham had vinegar on it. Is that some kind of local custom? 3) You only have a choice of a few dishes at breakfast and if you happen to want more it is an extra cost. 4) They say laundry available but they do not tell you that you have to go all the way around another building to get to the laundry in the basement of that building and then it is 4 pounds (about 4.50 usd) to wash a load of clothes. 5) I do not think there is air conditioning so you may want to check on that. Fortunately it was cool when I was there so that was not an issue but something you may want to watch. 6) Location. I think it is difficult to find, but in that area everything is difficult to find....for a tourist. I say skip Sheffield altogether. Matlock is much better for tourist. 7) They do not allow you to exit at the convenient places in the building. The easy exits are for fire exit and that may be some kind of local fire code but I think it is that they are too cheap to install a one way door.Or surveillance cameras.

A great price for a lovely room and stay. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had and the toaster was actually efficient. We would recommend this hotel
