Holiday Inn Express DONCASTER by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The room was incredibly hot and when I went down to reception, I was told that someone would come and take a look and no one turned up. Me and my family had a terrible sleep in the heat. The air vent unit in the room was set to the minimum it still the room was way too hot.

Staff were friendly at check in. We’re a family of 4 and our room was really small! I’d hate to have spent more than one night in there. The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable but the kids didn’t complain. Breakfast was a total shambles! Had groups of people waiting for tables and multiple couples sat on tables that seat up to 8 and no staff to help seat people. Half the food was missing by the time we got in there and I had to ask them to replenish the milk and knives. Then the juice machine needed refilling. It took absolutely ages for all 4 of us to get breakfast because of how busy it was and how quickly everything needed replenishing. Not enough tables, food and staff for the amount of guests! So that was a let down. I had to ask a staff member to clean the table we had waited ages for because he went to clean a different one even though we were clearly stood waiting with two impatient toddlers. He seemed annoyed that I asked him to help us.

very comfortable bed and best pillows ever, asked for a fan for room was delivered within minutes, room temperature was ok i just like to feel a breeze on my face

Great stay, would have been 5 stars if the ac worked (it was hot) and the room was too small for the guest bed (3 in the room). Staff, food, bar and price were 5 star.

We stayed one night on way to somewhere else everyone was very friendly. We had a lovely cooked breakfast, they even catered for me with gluten-free food

Hotel is fine, room was noisey, lots if dripping and tapping and fans making noise.

It was fit for purpose, the sofa bed wasnt very comfortable for the kids but ok for 1 night. The breakfast was nice.

This hotel is in a great location not far from Doncaster centre. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were great and the bathroom was a good size. It was very clean. The only issue we had was the noise from other guests arriving back to the hotel in early hours of the morning, with what can only be described as a mobile disco and very loud discussions.

Excellent value for money, staff excellent, friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast very good. Close to footy stadium, very good location near pub.

You generally know what you’re going to get with a chain hotel but the staff made this one stand out. I just wish the hospitality industry would give its guests something better than awful Nescafé sticks. We’re not in the 70s anymore. Otherwise all good.
