What Guests Say About Their Stay

Such a magical place! Felt immediately relaxed due to the friendly and helpful staff, the atmosphere created by the decor and furnishings and the tropical gardens which had both formal and secret spaces to enjoy the scenery, plants and wildlife. The Bream box close to the beach, which served drinks, snacks and pizzas in the afternoons is a fabulous facility too. Bream cove, at the end of the garden path, was a great place for a swim, especially prior to a delicious breakfast. Will definitely return and bring my family and friends to experience this beautiful hotel. A great place for a romantic or relaxed escape.

The hotel and its setting are a great escape. The beautiful gardens make for an enjoyable stroll down to the mostly private beach. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated, and the beds very comfortable. We were allocated a room that was an upgrade from what we had booked, and even with it being a Ground Floor room it still had its own seating area (two in fact!). Had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant during our stay and the food was great for both. Staff were friendly and attentive - we received a warm welcome and they actively sort feedback on checkout. The hotel is so peaceful and quiet with plenty of wildlife to watch too (woodpeckers in the gardens). If you’re looking for somewhere to just stay and relax, or as somewhere as a great base for exploring what Cornwall has to offer it’s a great choice.

Staff were super nice, gardens were amazing. Breakfast was excellent. Parking available. Nice location close to Falmouth, but very rural feel. Seaview is very limited in general from this property but lovely gardens make up for this. My father is in his 80s and managed ok, but to say this property is likely not ideal for those with mobility issues as there are lots of stairs and it's all built into a hillside. Beds in both rooms my family used could use an update- pretty uncomfortable and uneven mattresses with noticeable indents where people tend to generally sleep. In morning when going to breakfast we had to dodge piles of dirty linen and supplies all along the narrow hallway where cleaning staff had stripped beds already. Seemed an odd system for a 4 star hotel. Despite these last comments still a very pleasant stay!

the day before i emailed and asked to confirm if the electric car charger was working, told response would be 24 hours, no reply. got to the hotel and looked very dated, then i was told one out of the two rooms was not ready as the was busy with a wedding the day before, so went to one room and paint falling off the ceiling, very dated and floor boards squeaked and rocked. went back to the receptions and asked if i could cancel our rooms and get a full refund, i was told the manager would not be around until tomorrow so no , no help as we did not want to stay, got the keys for the second room and not great, all the corridors has linin and food from them cleaning the rooms, MY DAUGHTER graduation AND JUST WANTED TO GO HOME , sent one more email to the hotel again with no response

The gardens and grounds are the saving grace of this hotel. It is set in beautiful grounds with a small private beach a 10 minute walk away. But the hotel is let down by a severe lack of staff (either completely absent or over stretched), very poor breakfast (eggs which are unseasoned and unlike any scrambled eggs I’ve eaten), coffee which was so watery I wasn’t sure what I was drinking) and watered down juice and cheap bread. The bar was often shut and it took the hotel over an hour to open our room door. Dinner was good but over priced especially the wine. The rooms themselves were ok if a little old fashioned although I must say the shower and bathroom was excellent. I think the hotel has great potential and could be lovely but it is let down by cutting corners - not employing enough staff and skimping on food quality which is not what you expect from a luxury establishment. It could have been so much nicer with a little more effort.

Loved the gardens and direct access to private beach. Dog friendly terrace garden rooms were of a standard rating in.my opinion. No soap replenished in dispensers for 2 days. Stain on bedding sheet. Dog pee stains visible in some public carpeted areas. Unmanned reception, need to ring a bell. The 'bridge dog friendly area' for meals is depressing and isolated, no bell in this area to indicate you need a service i.e. breakast. No background music. Lacking atmosphere. Tables are coffee tables, far too low to eat a meal off. Had to put my plates on lap! However breakfast can be taken in beautiful gardens on a fine weather day for dog owners; much more pleasant. Drinks expensive, x2 double G&Ts £28! My complaint with hotel is as a lone female traveller with dog, my bedroom door had been left wide open by housekeeping manager the one day and this concerned me from a safety and security point, also outside door to accomodation block pinned open despite being a security door on card swipe access. I have logged a formal complaint re this with hotel and expedia, waiting for a reply!

Clean room, clean shower. Very nonchalant check in and arrival, when nobody was present on reception. Not much info given or direction where the room was. Shower amazing, bed super comfy.

Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out but we were gifted a small sample instead which was super nice. The restaurant is lovely, get to breakfast early to snag a window table. The food was excellent. Our room was nice and very clean and we had a good nights sleep. The walls were not as thin as many UK seaside hotels which was good. Overall a lovely stay, we would definitely come back and highly recommend

Absolutely beautiful hotel. We were luckily upgraded to a suite which had a lovely balcony overlooking the breathtaking gardens and private beach. Blankets were provided. Huge, comfortable double bed. Lovely toiletries. Had and excellent evening meal and breakfast. Friendly staff. Partner had a massage in the spa which added to his relaxing experience. Would thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful site with terrible service. The staff that we got to talk to were really nice, but most of the time impossible to find. No housekeeping during our stay and if we needed anything there was no way to reach anyone. The pipes in my room creaked the whole night and no one did anything to fix it or even acknowledge the issue, even after I raised it repeatedly. The place is breathtaking, but it feels like the management doesn't care about the guests.
