Lock View

KITCHEN- clean and lovely, but bin is in a weird place under the TV (and lid wouldn't close) Only x3 forks and no cooking trays, there were pans but nothing to put food in the oven on, x4 placemats on breakfast bar but only x2 bar stools so nowhere for 4 people to eat together. PARKING-There are x2 parking spaces marked for lock view only but on several occasions we returned from a trip and these had cars in them ( probably from cafe next door) BEDROOMS-No mirrors in bedrooms, only one in bathroom which is a different floor to top bedroom! Several window latches in 2nd bedroom broken so unable to keep window open (see heating issue below) CHECK IN -was easy with key code sent via text, however on arrival the heating was on at 25° and the whole house was boiling hot, very uncomfortable after a long drive, turned heating off and opened all windows, cooled down after around 2 hours! CLEANLINESS- Overall a clean, well maintained and furnished property, there are cobwebs in places so a good deep clean of hallway and corners in rooms would help. In summary, a lovely place to stay for a few nights, minor things mentions above did not spoil our stay.

Very easy to check in and out, everything looked just like the pictures, cafe next door and a bar/restaurant a few doors down. There was only 2 chairs around the breakfast bar but 4 place mats so I’m not sure how a family of 4 like us where meant to eat together There was also no lamp in the downstairs bedroom which isn’t a massive deal but it would have been nice to have some form of light in the evening/night without having the big light on The tv was oddly placed in the living room/kitchen whilst watchable it placed in the centre of the room whilst the sofa is to the left so you need to sit at an angle to watch it None of those really affected the stay however it was a lovely house in a peaceful area

Lovely clean super efficient service

Ideal location to host a bukkake party with six friends as the floors were easy to clean. Parking was easy and its location is ideal in the centre of the town. Rooms are very basic but the kitchen is nice and looks good. Rooms are cold in winter due to poor windows and doors and the house is really made of lego I think but the boys were able to maintain the stiffness all night.

Good location for walking into town. Lock cafe next door was handy and served an excellent breakfast. Nicely decorated and beds comfortable. Ok for a couple of days ‘we felt’ Quite noisy though, trains started at about 6;00am. Whist the cafe was nice, it dud get noisy from about 7:30 - 7:45 with music and chatting. Luckily I had ear plugs Designated parking space was taken when we got there. Which was annoying, but we did manage to park near and move the car. Few things ‘missing’ No mirror in the 2nd bedroom to do hair, even though there is a hairdryer. There is a wardrobe. No dressing table or dresser with drawers. Need a towel hook for wet towel in the bathroom. There are only 2 breakfast bar chairs, so if there are 3 / 4 of you, 2 stand up, Not a huge problem but even a couple of fold up stools would help
