The food was absolutely excellent—each meal was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the menu had a thoughtful variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. It’s clear the kitchen takes real pride in their work. The location was ideal for our trip, especially as we were in town to play at the legendary Royal St George’s Golf Club, which is just a short drive away. After a day on the course, The Bell was the perfect place to unwind—comfortable, stylish, and relaxing. The rooms had a classic charm with modern touches, and the views over the river added a tranquil feel to the whole stay. Celebrating a milestone birthday in such a setting, with great food and access to world-class golf, made the experience truly memorable. I’d highly recommend The Bell Hotel to anyone visiting the area, whether for golf, history, or just a peaceful escape.

Staff were great and very welcoming. Breakfast was superb. Only negative was that the room was so hot and we couldn’t adjust the heat.

Really had a great check in was meet by Simone who went out of her way to help us she had our drinks brought to us in the lounge and arranged for out luggage to be taken up to our room. We had a valentine meal and everyone of the staff was great

Booking in at reception was nearly 15 minutes waiting in a queue , therefore not a great start after driving nearly 2 hours. The room was adequate and the bed was comfortable. However, most parts of the hotel was very tired , with stained carpets and chipped paint work, obviously once a more grand hotel. Our meal was very dissappointing which thankfully we were charged. The bar and waiting staff were very nice however and we did enjoy our drink near the fire on such a cold night.
