Positives first the staff were lovely, but the place is very dated, my room was awful looks like there had been a water leak some time ago and the wall behind my bed was in very poor condition the windows were filthy and there were dead insects on the ledges. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul and at least repointing. The carpet was dirty and the mattress on the bed had broken springs. Telly with picture issues too so couldn’t watch it. Room was like going back to the 1970s - Won’t be staying here again.

A comfortable bed and a good breakfast, cooked to order. Floor was a bit creaky and uneven but not too much of an issue. Would use again.

Everything to make this place great, but it really isn't. On arrival lights did not work, TV firestick did not work, so no TV. Shower was stucj on hot so was unusable. Public toilets were blocked. On the positive staff were really good and food ok.

Great little find on the outskirts of Manchester. Very dog friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast included. Room we had (Deluxe Double) was as per the photos. Just a little shame the TV was not working, but they did apologise for the known fault and offered free drinks as recompense.

Changed rooms due to noisy pipes, but they were very helpful about this. Couldn’t ever get through to anyone at reception. Went down to order good, sent the wrong food! Ate it anyway as was very hungry! It was good. Breakfast was good.

I imagine this hotel was nice… 20 years ago when the photos advertising it were taken. Such a shame because it’s a nice building in a lovely area. I can’t speak for the original building itself, maybe those rooms are better kept, but we were placed in the outbuilding across the way and the rooms were incredibly tired and shoddy, with chipped paintwork and soiled carpet. The toilet was stained and there were no toiletries in the bathroom. On arrival, we had to use the telephone as instructed on the main desk to call for someone to come and check us in. Both staff members we encountered looked incredibly young (not an issue in itself of course) however when my partner went to alert the young girl on reception that we had needed to make a police call the night before due to what sounded like DV in the room next door to us, it was clear that this staff member was highly inexperienced. They did not ask any further questions or enquire as to the safety of the room occupant next door. Just said ‘Oh dear’ and left it at that…? Frequent visitors to the area but not sure we would stay again.

We had a 2 night stay at the Bridge Hotel, Prestbury, on arrival the reception was desserted, and in all not very welcoming, after searching around to find someone we finally booked in. The room was quite basic and in need of a bright make over, one bedside bulb was missing , TV had no reception, & the toilet cistern was not working properly, at checking out time, there was no one to be found in or around the reception again, in frustration we left the key on reception desk and left. I was quite sad as i have family connections with the hotel going back many years, my memories were of a cheerful welcoming hotel, it is in need of a make over, & more staff particularly on reception to meet and greet to make people more welcome, as they are the face of the hotel, first impressions is the key.

The hotel was very disappointing. I had expected the accommodation and very certainly the dinner menu to have been far better than it was. My expectations were obviously far too high. We will not be staying there again.

The property seemed lovely but I stayed in room 11. The bathroom needs updating, no light bulbs in the lamps and the curtains didn’t close properly with the rail held together with a cable tie. Would help to have a small fridge in the room too! The restaurant was closed (no pre warning and most eateries around the area closed on Monday!) there was a lovely but completely run off her feet member of staff who was doing room check in and managing the bar by herself. She was fantastic in getting everything done and gave amazing customer service but not a pleasant stay for me for the price I paid.
