The Lounge Hotel and Bar

Our room was hot, uncomfortably hot. It also faced the high street road and so it was hot and noisy. The mattress was horrible unless you like sinking in a bed. Big miss for me. I would not stay there again.

Would definitely stay again if passing through. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. The shower was also good. Free breakfast was big, delicious and customisable.

Excellent for an overnight stay. Comfortable room, nice breakfast and service.

Didn’t like that breakfast wasn’t included in the price and didn’t realise until we checked out.

I’ve stayed there quite a few times as the location is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, as I stay away quite often I’d forgotten how bad the food was! The last time I stayed there with my wife, I remember the Beef Teriyaki being the best thing on the menu. This time it wasn't great. The meat was hard and dry with no sauce etc. I sent it back to have the same meal returned, but with a load of sauce and piping hot throughout as it had been nuked! Ended up just eating the rice and the veg and left all the meat! Terrible! Great place to stay, but the food is a lottery. The full breakfast the next day wasn’t great either. And to top it off, I had no hot water in my room, but this issue was resolved pretty much immediately thanks to the staff :-)

Lovely place and friendly staff. Bar area was nice and location good. Room could have been cleaner, was a bit dusty. The TV didn't work and the remote had no back to it. Bed was too hard a mattress for me personal preference really. Would stay again if in that area.

Swivel on shower head was broken, so had to hold the shower head in order to shower. Everything else was fine. Good location, walking distance to everything. Friendly and attentive staff

Central location, easy check in, room was very clean and comfy bed, staff were all friendly and made us feel welcome.

Very comfortable suite for a family of six with a well equipped kitchenette. A little unusual as there were no external windows other than Velux skylights, but we were only staying overnight so this did not matter. Slap bang in the middle of Penrith, so seconds away from shops and other eateries. Amazing breakfast in the morning in the restaurant!

The staff were great and very helpful, the family room was perfect, we enjoyed our stay that much we are booking again Highly recommended

Stopped off en route down South and stayed in the apartment. Lovely and clean and spacious. Easy check in. Really enjoyed it. We didn't eat in the restaurant but plenty of takeaways available nearby, and accessible parking at the back of building

Friendly welcome by friendly staff. Prompt curteous lovely staff at dinner and bar as well as breakfast. Will visit again. Only downside shower head in room 2, is not great or supported in holder, small issue but others might think more of it.

Great food, lovely staff and clean comfortable rooms.
