What Guests Say About Their Stay

I was in Penzance for a weekend conference. I just needed local accommodation to come back to at the end of the day. The Pirate Inn provided even more than that. I had Room 1 in the pub itself. It was a small room but beautifully laid out and decorated. Ensuite bathroom (with a bath!). And a fridge. And an abundant supply of refreshments. If I had had more time I would have liked to have enjoyed the pub and food onsite. Thank you so much to the staff who were very welcoming.

We stayed in a cabin at the Pirate Inn Penzance. It was brilliant. You could feel the cleanliness. . Everything you needed for a stay was in the cabin, toiletries, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, get the idea it was all there ' hairdryer, fridge , little brush & dustpan. Really rea.ly comfortable place to stay. We had dinner at the inn, just a few steps from the cabin. . A good selection on the menu and nice welcoming staff.

This is our 4th stay - so clearly it suits us. Friendly, comfortable and clean. Good food in pub. The mini bathroom, ( in room 2) however, needs a couple of simple improvements! The light over the mirror is still hanging loose - as per previous stays! The shower head is loose and you have to hold it with one hand to stop spray going directly downwards- which is nigh impossible! There needs to be a label on the power switch to the shower- currently it’s a search and a case of” I wonder if this is it?” BUT- we enjoy staying here and it is perfect as a stay as part of a trip to the Isles of Scilly. I hope the hosts take these as positive and helpful comments. Beds are so comfy, lovely towels, good range of coffees and teas. We will certainly stay again. Thank you.

We were 3 persons but they gave us a set of small shampoo, conditioner and body gel. Then we asked for more next day, they gave us 2 sets more. The shower is not stable, sometime too hot and too cold. No fan in the room during heat wave. We opened the door let fresh air in and then cool down. The room is well cleaned and the staff are nice.

The mattress let it down, thin and very soft. We live only an hour away, stayed so could enjoy a wine tasting without worrying about driving. We got up at 5.30am and went home to bed!! The pod was clean but basic, ok for one night. Staff friendly and helpful.

Brilliant location for us and lovely interior of old country pub. I had booked a room which had a fridge which was a bonus. There were 4 pods on the site and hubbie said might have liked staying in one. After a disaterous glamping weekend in a bell tent, not the tent bring the problem but rowdy group in next tent I chose a room. Def going back when visiting again and will book a pod next time. Food was great as well and reasonable

On arrival the room was clean and comfortable and seemed excellent value for money but the pub food was dreadful value for money - small portions - tasted good but not good value. And then the noise from outside pub revellers went on until 1.40am right outside the window - which even closed - was not good. Don’t book room 3 if you want a good nights sleep! I guess you get what you pay for!!!!

The rooms in the pub are underwhelming, noisy, need maintenance (our bathroom had the light and loo roll holder hanging off the wall) and expensive for what you get. Food at the pub is also not great. The staff were friendly and the music good. Probably wouldn’t chose here again or would go in a garden pod.
