Good location Nice host Great breakfast. Beans toast bacon sausage eggs served 😀 Room very basic which is fine for the price. Sadly smelt of cigarettes smoke thus the 1star reduction !

Pat was very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and cosy and so quiet, we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fantastic, we were looked after very well.

I enjoyed a cereal and coffee followed up by a freshly cooked full English breakfast and it was very tasty. The room was very tidy and the amenities were good as well, my only issue was the bed wasn't the biggest and it was very firm, but owing to my acute spinal stenosis made it very difficult to get comfortable. But that's not their problem that's my health conditions fault. There was parking on site, which I originally used but then had to move out onto the main road as people were blocked in. But again not a problem as I was right outside the property anyway.

Good no frills budget hotel. Owner was away but the front of house staff was lovely. Good breakfast.

Great one night stay, the rooms are a little dated and could do with an upholstered easy chair . But apart from that there’s everything you need. The staff were lovely and allowed me to check in early and the breakfast which was cooked to order was excellent. Close to shops and decent pubs where you can get dinner. Overall a great little guest house that provides value for money.

Wonderful host Paul who is so helpful and accommodating. Great location for local shops and restaurants. Great rooms with traditional solid walls so no noise. Excellent price and full English breakfast included. Will definitely stay again.

Convenient for our family visit and good breakfast

Stayed here as a break on my way to Scotland. Was made very welcome given the keys a had breakfast times explained. Wi-fi passwords were on the the check in desk. The room I had was a single en suite which had a chest of drawers a small cupboard and a flat screen tv. The bathroom had a shower which towels were supplied. Tea and coffee facilities were supplied. Breakfast was great I had orange juice ,full english, tea and toast which was perfectly cooked. The area outside the hotel has 2 pubs and several resturants for eating. There was a bit of noise but this was due to it being a busy area on a Saturdat night and the double glazing keeps most of it at bay. For what is included it is excellent value. Thanks I thouroughly enjoyed my stay.

Victoria Lodge is very welcoming. Check in was simple. The rooms are clean, well equipped and super comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. There is parking on the driveway or free on street parking is also available. The hotel is in a lovely area with many restaurants in very short walking distance.

Check in was smooth and the breakfast was good and freshly cooked. The room had a double bed in space that should have had a single to the extent that the door to the bathroom would only open halfway as it fouled the bed. The plaster is cracked on the sloping ceiling and by the window. The curtains provide no blackout whatsoever.
