Damp and very cold room

The photos of the hotel are nothing like what I was expecting absolutely awful

This rates as the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The photos on Expedia and their own website bear no resemblance to the current condition of the rooms. I was booked for two nights but on the second night decided to drive back home in the middle of the night. The bed and mattress were so worn, that I could not sleep, to compound things, there was no hot water in the morning, so I had to have a cold shower. I informed reception about this who assured me that they would rectify this. After my return to the hotel on the second day, room service had not cleaned the room , again I informed reception, who informed be that they don’t service the rooms everyday, despite their website advertising room service. At this point I had had enough and left the hotel. I was not expecting a luxury apartment but this hotel does not get even the basics right 1) Poor Bed and bedding 2} Poor shower bathroom with broken fittings and no hot water. 3 Dirty room surfaces were not cleaned and floor was not vacuumed. 4) No daily room service AVOID THIS HOTEL!

Shabby but warm, dry and secure. Bed was ok. You get what you pay for.

Staff were not on reception.Elsewhere with another customer when we arrived Polite enough but appeared very stressed and rushed. The room/ studio was not as expected. It was in another building around the corner from reception.The room was cold heating radiators did not work. Very old cables looked unsafe. The kitchen was like a cupboard it had old glasses and grubby cups. Poor facilities. Room was not as described and far from photos on the Hotels App. The windows were wet from condensation. The bed was old and dusty with no mattress protector the mattress very stained. There were no sink plugs non for the bath either!! Chipped old bath. Someone else’s “ snot” on the edge of bath. ( I can provide photos) Shower head partly blocked with silt. Mildew behind taps. Dirty toilet brush full of paper. TV didn’t use but there was no remote to switch it on and there was layers upon layers of dust behind it. The fridge was noisy all night old with dirty shelves. I could continue this “box” I refrain from calling it a room / studio was just awful. I can provide photos for all mentioned and more. I would have left but we were on a schedule with no time to find anywhere else - it was a Friday night. Ideally should have walked away or asked for a refund but circumstances after a long day did not allow. Please do not use this place especially if you have asthma it could cause a flare the facility is a Petri dish of potential illness Can NOT recommend NOT NO NO - run away!!!

Bathroom had several areas that weren't clean, the room in general was dusty and dirty. Lots of damaged cupboard doors in the kitchen and poorly equipped

The kitchen was convenient and in a great area with access to plenty of shops, restaurants and bars

The room we stayed in smelt strongly of damp and was mouldy. The bed frame and mattresses were clearly mouldy. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly and the floors were filthy. There was disturbance from the neighbouring room consisting of a non-guest accessing the hotel and yelling outside the neighbouring room, we didn’t feel safe because of this and called front desk who were very helpful and did they’re best to solve the situation but not much could be done. Pictures on the website do not reflect the actual accommodation, Wouldn’t recommend not worth the price.

I have to say that the room in this hotel was nothing like the photos they have shown, I’m not sure which hotel that was but it wasn’t ours. The room did not feel clean, the sink was blocked and we booked the room for 2 people and were left 1 cup for coffee. The location of the hotel was good, only about 5 minutes walk away from the station which, unfortunately, we were only too happy to make on our last day.

The light was broken. A kettle would have been good.

First room was dirty. Spoken to reception staff and was changed to another room. Comfortable night sleep within short walk from tube station and also the Eventim Apollo

This is a good place

Nothing like the photos. No AC, very dirty.. I got sick because of there cleaning chemicals. They leave windows open to mask the smell. I would not recommend using them.

The room we had (upstairs) was adequate for our needs - 2 single beds, bathroom, fridge. The shower was small, but ok - except on the last morning when there was no hot water. The room was quiet, except when other guests were walking nearby. The whole room was pretty shabby, dusty and not exactly sparklingly clean.

Room was mostly okay, but felt andvsmellee damp. Furniture, mattress, and fittings look and feel cheap.

There was no electricity, it hadn’t been cleaned, the shower wouldn’t turn on, the bed was too low, the room no working television. The staff were not accommodating and nothing was right about our stay. Apart from the location.

We originally booked a 2 nights stay at W6 Hotel Hammersmith, with check-in on May 30, 2025. Upon arrival, we were given a basement-level room, which was extremely disappointing. The entrance to the room was cluttered with piles of used linens collected by housekeeping. Then, the room inside had peeling paint on the walls, the bed and furniture were dirty, and the bathroom ceiling was also peeling. The sink and bathtub drained very slowly. Our family had a very difficult night. The room faced a main street with heavy noise throughout the night, and we doesn't close the windows due the hot weather if close not fresh air for us to breathe. We had complained to the hotel staff that night, but they said no other rooms were available. With no choice for us stayed the night, but we barely slept at all. The next morning, we spoke with the hotel manager and were given a different room on the first floor. However, the situation was not much better. The new room also had peeling paint and was not clean. At that point, we decided to leave the hotel immediately and contacted Hotels.com to request a refund for the second night. The W6 hotel has replied to hotel.com on 2nd June 2025, that they can refund the 2nd night's staying fee. Unfortunately, even after more than a month, the hotel has still not processed the refund as promised for that second night. To make matters worse, when I called the hotel later to follow up, they claimed they had no record of our stay.

HORRIFIC - stay anywhere else. Sleep in a tent in the park - would be better than this hotel. A deluxe twin room with kitchi ette is a major misrepresentation- see photos. This room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned for at least 6 months if ever. It was full of mold, had loads of black flies and even slugs in the room. The toilet seat was broken the tv didnt work. The kitchenette was a plank of wood with a load of knives thrown on it - not even in a drawer, 1 plate 1 cup and a moldy fridge with dried milk in the door. The 'city view' was a wall in a basement. DONT GO NEAR THIS PLACE. i tried to change my booking but hotels.com were no help. I will be going to trading standards as this is complete misadvertising.
