Wychwood Park

Food was very average both dinner and breakfast. Hotel its self lacked warmth and was rather soulless. It was ok, bed was reasonably comfortable.

Hotel very cold room cold and the breakfast was cold

Check was easy, room was great with a huge bed all spotlessly clean. Parking in site was free and plentiful. Breakfast was ok normal self service selection but cooked breakfast only luke warm. The worst thing was the loud swearing men in the bar where we went for our evening meal. The restaurant was shut so had food in the bar. However the men made it uncomfortable and we mentioned this to staff who spoke to the men but it made no difference the staff apologised to us but said that’s just the way they are. We ate our basic meal as quickly as possible and left. We didn’t think the food was value for money as it didn’t befit the otherwise high standard of hotel. Sadly this means we will not return. In other ways it was a convenient stopover from the M6.

Hotel and staff were great. We arrived in the dark so couldn't see how to get the electric on in our room until we found the handbook. Also you couldn't just have a side light on, it had to be the whole thing. Both nights of our stay there was a private party in the bar so guests were excluded. Restaurant was ok but nothing special so second night we just stayed in our room and ordered roomservice. Instructions for roomservice said to phone reception, our room didn't have a phone so we had to walk down. Lots of little things that didn't work.

The shower tray became full and overflowing after just a few minutes. This was reported and not rectified.

Room, I booked 1 double bed and instead we have two single join beds and was not comfortable at all and second day the cleaning wasn’t done properly just left clean towels and even the bed wasn’t done the third day we have asked for the cleaning to be done but was completed after asking for second time so I will not be recommending or staying there again

Room was beautifully presented, clean, couldn't fault it. Hotel warm and staff very helpful and polite. Perfect stay.

Have a lovely stay. Nice hotel in very peaceful surroundings. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Breakfast buffet was steaming hot and food was tasty, with a good selection. Can recommend and I would stay here again.

Basic room, curtains almost impossible to draw together to achieve a blackout. Late checkout strictly enforced charge

Poor evening meal, undercooked and some elements cold. Ate in bar as restaurant could not accommodate walk-in even though only half full.
