We stayed at Hotel AX July 23 2026 and checked out on July 29th! I thought from the moment this American checked in until the time we checked out the hotel staff was unbelievably helpful and kind! The room was so incredibly clean! The breakfast was top notch! It was nothing like we serve as a breakfast in the US! The only warning i will give is, if you're accustomed to AC or a cold hotel room, bring a fan (we're from Arizona so we need AC :)~ ). The front desk ladies found a fan for us and sleep was a much better. There's so much to see in this hotel that we were never bored. I legitimately have nothing negative to say about the cooking staff, cleaning staff, maintenance staff,front desk staff or anything. Transportation is directly in front of the hotel! The bar/restaurant is downstairs! I could go on and on but I think this hotel was the best option for my family!!!
Oh, from the pictures the beds and pillows almost made me reconsider our stay but they were sooooo comfy!
Side note... we didn't notice until the last 2 days but there's luggage storage under the beds! ;)

Had an absolute lovely stay! Not too far from the city centre (about an 10 minute bus ride) and just a 15 minute walk if you’re taking the ferry to Tallin. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are a great size. There is no microwave or fridge in the room, but it didn’t bother me. 100% would stay here again!

We loved the decor and art.
Fabulous range of vegan foods for breakfast.
Easy access to city on tram 9 from outside the hotel - 10 minutes to central station.
Highly recommend this funky, cool Ax hotel (Art experience).

Great affordable small hotel within easy reach of the city centre. The room was stylish and compact, but very clean. The bathroom had a good shower and was well laid out and similarly well-designed. The breakfast buffet was good, with enough food and even herring, if that's your thing. The staff were fairly friendly and helpful. The only issue we ran into was a slight smell coming from the bathroom - we were not sure where the smell originated, but it was slightly unpleasant at times. However, this was fairly minor. Overall, the stay was excellent and, for Helsinki, affordable!

I had a great stay at Hotel AX during my visit to Helsinki. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options to choose from.
One thing I really appreciated was the location. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around the city. It was also conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the ferry terminal, which made my trip to Tallinn very easy and stress-free.
Overall, I found Hotel AX to be comfortable, convenient, and a great value. Between the friendly service, excellent breakfast, and easy access to both public transportation and the Tallinn ferry terminal, I would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip to Helsinki.

No sauna on site; but there is uusi sauna two blocks away.
Rooms were just right.
Breakfast was delicious.
Parking is off site.
25min walk to city centre, but there is a tram that takes you right there easily.
Really enjoyed my stay here, the art is so fun to look at!
