What Guests Say About Their Stay

Marcelo

The room was nice and quaint— small but I wasn’t expecting anything from the affordable price. The bathroom is downstairs— inside your room but down a very steep stairway— it Makes you think twice before going down. The mattress is a bit crooked— it makes you lean to the right, perhaps time for a change? The area is great— super quiet and safe and close to public transport, like most places in Paris. The people that work at the hotel are the nicest— it was overall a great stay and I recommend it— but perhaps for the hotel, time for a new mattress in that room. Thanks

Incredibly kind front desk and staff. Our plane landed at 6am and I had booked a driver to the hotel. The front desk let us store our bags while we explored and had our room ready an hour before the usual check in. The breakfast was great, choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, basket of croissants, pan au chocolat, bagette, applesauce, yogurt, choice of mini jams, cheese and meat tray. The staff was always kind and quick, breakfast room clean and bright, and our room was always clean. Unique design in every space even the hallway. Incredible location one block from Tuileries. Beds were comfortable, but I had asked for two separate beds and the two single mattresses were made up that way, but they were still in the same bed frame sharing a headboard. I was with my daughter so it wasn’t a problem. Loved the hotel, loved the location, and the price could not be beat.

Lovely hotel room in cental Paris. Lovely staff especially the front desk and the really lovely lady at breakfast. For a three star hotel it does have some nice amenities such as water in room, slippers and nicely decorated. Only one tiny but could be big for others is housekeeping coming into room. Understandable the first time as they allowed me to check in few minutes early but in morning at 10.30 (checkout at 12) not so much. Need to communicate with front desk if guest has checked out.

Room is small, but has everything you need, including a proper enclosed shower, but no coffee maker. The location is incredible. Steps away for the Jardin de Tuileries and the Concorde metro station. Surrounding shops and restaurants are high end and boutique, so have to walk a little ways to find a boulangerie or more reasonable food options, but this is the heart of the 1st arrondissement... Highly suggest staying here if this is your first visit to Paris; you get the full grandeur of the city. If you've been before and know the city, then other neighbourhoods might offer character and a new experience.

The Hotel du Continent is so charming, stylishly decorated, and perfectly located in the heart of the 1st arrondissement! Annie at the front desk in particular makes the hotel guests feel very welcome . The breakfast is a good value at $12, and easier than locating a Boulangerie nearby . They offer protein options like prosciutto and cheese . Highly recommend this little boutique hotel, especially for solo travelers or couples .
