The best hotel in Paris depends on what you want outside your door and what you need inside your room. Start with your main sights, then compare the exact room category, occupancy and total stay price.

Paris accommodation listings cover a wide range of addresses. Use the street and arrondissement, the numbered administrative district, to distinguish properties within a broad area label. An address in the 16th arrondissement is not automatically beside Trocadéro, and two hotels described as being near the Champs-Élysées can be at opposite ends of the avenue.

Where to stay in Paris

Louvre, Palais-Royal and the Tuileries

Consider this part of the Right Bank when museum visits are a priority. Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal is at 4 Rue de Valois in the 1st arrondissement, between the Louvre and Palais-Royal. Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Place de la Concorde

There are several distinct hotel addresses east of the main Champs-Élysées shopping stretch. Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg is at 15 Rue Boissy d’Anglas; Maison Delano Paris is at 4 Rue d’Anjou. These are separate neighbourhood choices rather than interchangeable Eiffel Tower addresses.

Across the river in the 16th arrondissement, compare Shangri-La Paris at 10 Avenue d’Iéna, The Peninsula Paris at 19 Avenue Kléber and Saint James Paris at 5 Place du Chancelier Adenauer. Each has its own setting and journey to your chosen attractions; the arrondissement alone does not establish the walking distance.

Book a named view category rather than relying on photographs of a rooftop restaurant or a hotel's surroundings. Other Shangri-La rooms and family combinations can face the courtyard or city instead.

At Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, the hotel states that some rooms face the tower and others the gardens. A balcony and a tower view are separate details to confirm in the selected offer. A hotel can be near the Eiffel Tower without providing a view from your bedroom.

For families and groups

Compare confirmed beds and maximum occupancy before comparing floor area. At Four Seasons Hotel George V, a Premier Room accommodates three adults or two adults and one child, with an additional sleeping arrangement available on request. The hotel's Deluxe and Superior guest-room categories list occupancy for two. A room described as spacious therefore may still be unsuitable for your whole party.

Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal offers Junior and Junior Prestige Suites for two adults and two young children, using a king or twin arrangement plus a convertible sofa. Connecting Superior or Deluxe rooms can provide additional space. Specify the children's ages and ask which configuration is confirmed for your booking.

For Charles de Gaulle Airport, the RER B is the rail link to consider; Orly is served by Metro line 14 and Orlyval. Your final connection depends on the hotel's address. Airport rail journeys use the Paris Region–Airports ticket rather than the ordinary ticket for journeys that exclude the airports. Plan the station-to-hotel leg with your luggage and arrival time in mind.
