The friendliest staff! Nothing is too much, and they are just marvellous. Bed: good bed, linen etc as at Mercure - the room looks as though it may be halfway through refurb Bath: good strong rain shower, separate toilet in a v small room which was unusual Breakfast: good continental range

Located in the heart of the Palace of the Popes, near great dining by exploring side streets off the main thoroughfare, helpful staff. Good value for the money.

The location is great, next to the Palais des Papes. However I was expecting something a little more upscale based on brand, location and price.

A perfect hotel

Nice location right next to all the main attractions of Avignon which makes it super convenient.

This hotel was in a marvelous location for the walking tours and self exploration of this lovely city. The front desk was distant and disconnected with us. We were told there was a waiting list to get laundry done making it impossible to get any done. The breakfast had all the usual things but none of it tasted quite right. Overall this property fails to deliver on what is expected at a 4 star hotel

Parking was a nightmare. Trying to find your way through the public parking and then walking to the hotel with baggage was difficult for this older woman.

Great room, Great Breakfast, Convenient location

* please be aware there is no drop off outside the hotel unless you are in a taxi that is allowed to go into the pedestrian areas. The car park that is around the corner from the hotel is 1.90 and if your car is bigger the only car park is around 1.5 miles away. Then you have to take a taxi or shuttle bus. Bedrooms are ok, beds comfortable but pillows are very lumpy foam, hotel is very tired, hallway carpet stained, bedroom doors damaged. Just combined shampoo and shower gel. The location is the best thing about the hotel.

Avignon is dying. Not much restaurant But it’s located in between some sightseeing spots. Good to stay up to one to two nights only.

Great location , easy walk to all the historical sites

The property is very well located ( that’s why I had chosen it at the first place!). However, it’s the only positive side I can mention for our stay. This hotel does NOT meet the standards of a 4 star hotel! The room was small, there was no garbage bin in the room, nor a phone for that matter ( to call the reception!). There is no little accessories that a 4 star MUST have ( small body lotion of slippers). Besides, there is no lobby per se in this hotel to sit and have a drink! All on all our stay was very disappointing! It’s a shame because I used to appreciate Mercure hotels but I’m not sure I’ll choose this hotel in the future since the standards are not reliable.
