A charming old building within sight of the castle. Cafe and bar open all day. Great menu for the evening. Excellent breakfast facilities. Rooms on the street a little noisy at night but beds comfortable.

I stayed at le Saint Michel for two night while visiting the Champagne reagion.
The staff was very friendly and provided proffesional service.
We even forgot a bag full of souvernier, which they gladly assisted us in coureering ir back tl us.

Located in a not quite salubrious part of town, first impressions are mixed. However the owner is very welcoming (without any English being spoken) and the hotel has a rustic, individual charm. The room was quiet and clean, with a level of amenity to be expected. The highlight of the stay was the meal in the hotel restaurant - freshly cooked, local influence and great value.

A very pleasant surprise. The room was big, very clean, with a very nice bathroom. Very quiet location. The owner of the hotel was incredibly kind and helpful, even with our limited French. We would definitely come back here.

Went for the medieval festival as we do most years. Stay at the St Michel as we do most years. It is the same as ever it is. Rooms are always spotless and the toilets now have toilet seats. There's free wifi all over the place. Yves the proprietor is up at dawn and still there when the last guest retires. He always wants the best for his guests, and tries to do it all himself. How he isn't always exhausted is a mystery to me. Food and drink is always a pleasure and reasonably priced. He always manages to have a really agreeable champagne behind the bar at a very reasonable price and I am always pleased to see him and his family during our stay. Its also in pole position for the festival so a great pick for this special weekend.

We had a one night stop at this hotel and we were very pleased with the standard of comfort and cleanliness. The owner/manager was extremely accommodating and helpful. The food at their restaurant was delicious and the restaurant seemed popular with locals which gave it an authentic and almost homely feel. The hotel breakfast was more than adequate too.

The stay was comfortable. Room was simple, but clean.
No frills like you get in chain hotels - coffee, tea in the room, hairdryer, etc.
Restaurant was outstanding - ate three meals there. All were very good and extremely reasonable.
I visited WWI battle sites, including the American cemetery. Sedan and Verdun are really the only major cities close to the Meuse-Argonne battlefields of WWI.
