A wonderful hotel with easy access to the quaint town and castles. The restaurant is open late at night and the service staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want. One of our favorite hoyels on our 3 week trip to Europe.

Our first room was in the main building and had a moth ball smell. We were able to switch rooms and it was much better. Clean facility overall.

We came to tour the castles and this was the perfect spot lace to stay. Great hotel restaurant. Large grocery store right next door. Short walk to train. Very spacious and clean room.

Great hotel in the city of Füssen. Right in the center of town. Within walking distance of shopping and amazing restaurants and cafes. Also the gelato is delicious. I would definitely recommend Hotel Hirsch.

Hotel Hirsch is an excellent hotel immediately outside the old town walls, less than a five minute walk to the nearby shops and restaurants in Fussen. Access to free parking on site. Hotel restaurant was excellent t for included breakfast. We enjoyed a very good dinner there too.

My daughter and I were immediately smitten by the external and internal decoration of the hotel before we even reached the reception. Check-in went quickly, we dropped off our luggage, and headed walked into town for dinner where there were we found a nice place to eat. (Visitors should be aware that restaurants and shops close relatively early compared to bigger German towns.) After dinner, we drove the short distance to the castles to see them lit up at night (go early...the lights were turned off at 2200 the evening we visited).
After a peaceful night's sleep following four nights next to the Heidelberg train station, we got an early start back to castles so we could enjoy the Marienbrücke before the first bus crowd arrived.
The rural area around Füssen begs for further exploration during a future trip.
Local tip: We provisioned snacks and lunch for the day at the castles at the train station bakery since local bakeries and grocery stores did not open until later in the morning.

This hotel is quaint and the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. It is old, and our room had a very strange smell. The rooms are large for Europe’s standards, and the first desk staff was beyond friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Five star experience as far as customer service goes, but a three star hotel, IMO.
