Why Not Hotel

I had an awkward gap in my schedule before heading to Mexico, so I booked a budget accommodation—but it exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly, and the place was clean with just the right temperature and humidity.

I booked my hotel stay last minute and I wasn’t expecting the best however it was amazing just for one night. Everything is near by and I was able to grab a bite to eat without worrying of venturing to far. There is no running AC but the humidifier and fan in the room was good and I slept well. I love the rooftop area as well It’s my first solo trip and starting my trip at the why not hotel was a good option for me I highly recommend to book with them

The location and staff are absolutely amazing. So nice. The accomodations are basic but everything is extremely clean and well maintained. The place has cool character and is surrounded by an endless amount of super cool restaurants, bars, and shopping. Directly in the center of the town.

Very cute hostel, I loved the bright colours and the friendly staff. Very close to the downtown area.

You get what you pay for. Great location, sufficient accommodations for a week long or shorter stay, friendly staff, decent bed with a fan in the room and clean bathroom.

If you're ballin on a budget, young, drink, don't mind noise and cramped smelly rooms, then this is excellent for you! If you're looking for sound sleep, a private shtter, and sound sleep, stay away from here. Being frugal backfired on me - after check in and meeting my roomates, staying in my room a bit, i decided i didnt want to be awoken by all the foot traffic in the hostel and by the bar crawl people getting to bed at 3am. I went up the nice rooftop and booked a 200 usd airbnb for 4 nights just outside town in santa anna, super private, no noises. Had a great time. Why not hotel has friendly staff and its a nice place. But if you're looking to sleep peacefully before a hike, be cautious and go elsewhere

Overall great stay! The only issue was that the shower wouldn’t drain. Other than that, everything was perfect and the staff was very accommodating and kind.

Rooms can definitely use improvement. Update/remodel furniture (we had a cable for outlet). Nightstand tiny and nowhere to place clothes. Bathrooms and floors could be better and much more cleaner. Wall paint chipped. Fan didn to work too well so our room was always muggy /stuffy which made us sick. terrace was nice but nothing to eat or order from there. You can just go next door for food. DO NOT get shuttle service there (we needed one for the airport) there were overcharging. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 go two doors down and talk to Fernando. Fair pricing. Punctual drivers and friendly staff.

One of the best bathrooms that I encountered in Guatemala. Nice hot shower. The only downside was that there was no place to hang clothes in the room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The property is fairly nice, I personally loved the rooftop. It was quiet. Staff is very nice. My only complaint was the shower. It needs a little deep cleaning and in need of a being repair/replaced; the water never runs consistently cold or hot. I had a solo room and it really was just the dresser, hangar, and a fan which was perfectly fine with me since I was out all day. I would most definitely stay again here in the future.

Perfect location

Mold in the room beware check your surroundings. Due to poor ventilation. Hot water for shower not clear how to use since with electric shower head heater. Till you understand how to use it to get hot water or else you get a at best luke warm to cold shower. Have to keep window close in room if you want privacy. So it can get stuffy Poor lighting. Very dark Wifi password in rooms not clearly marked or updated correctly in the rooms. Tried 3 different rooms. Same issue. Till i went to front desk. “ year was missing” Shower drain blocked. 2 inch water accumulation when showering. Moldy grouts. Mildew on shower curtains base
