Lovely stay, friendly and warm welcome with a free room upgrade. Clean, great views and home comforts like tea and coffee included. The room had a good balcony and view. Both dinner and breakfast was great. If we are ever return to Iceland we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Excellent stay. The reception desk and staff at bar was very friendly. I had my hot chocolate during aurora show with me and it hot cold, the girl at bar happily warmed it up for me. They provide wake up calls for aurora viewing. The rooms have a view. We could see aurora without being in the cold. Super happy with the stay.

Hotel was fine and restaurant food was good but very expensive. Staff don’t remember to credit our bill for the free drinks included in the rate although I asked them too. Beds were comfortable and shower had hot water which are most important things in a room.

Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. There's not much lighting outdoors which is nice because we could see the Northern Lights right above the hotel. The lobby area was really nice but the rooms were made with very cheap materials like a camping trailer. The rooms were nice enough for a one night stay during a road trip. No wash cloths were provided. We liked the tiny patio to step out and view the stars & aurora.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this hotel really disappointed. The hallway and our room smelled like septic tank, it was not noticiable when we arrived but during the night it became strong and the following morning was even stronger. There was a lid on the ground just outside of our room (one feet away from the yard door) that seemed to be the tank pipe, the smell probably came from there. The electric kettle had water from the previous guests, which makes you wonder how good they clean the rooms!
And on top of that, it was the most expensive stay of our 1-week stay in Iceland!
I would not be staying here again :/

Given how great Foss Hotels are, this is the least foss like hotel. Rooms are hideous, even though I have a nice view. Washroom shower stand door was broken. Beds were uncomfortable. If you can skip this location, I would.

Staff were rude and room was tiny and dirty. There was missing baseboard, pedals for the trash were broken and there was a good inch of dust/dirt on the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The room was ungodly humid and all of our clothing felt damp. Restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. When we checked out, the gentleman at the front desk argued with us that we needed to pay our dinner bill. We had to show him the receipt that we did. Turns out he wasn’t even looking at our room which we handed him the keys (labeled with the number) and told him twice what room number we were. When he realized we had paid and it was the wrong room he entered he didn’t offer an apology. He made us feel like a criminal for no reason. Wouldn’t recommend. It was also VERY expensive for the food we ordered. $102 for an app, 2 cheeseburgers and a kids meal.
