Prainha

There had been a monsoon storm the night I arrived and because of several terracotta tiles coming down in the wind onto my original room balcony, they kindly moved me to another room. The old wooden furniture, fan and open doors to the balcony where I had a sea view and sound of the ocean were idylic. I was however disappointed when on my last day I asked to pay for a late check out because I was unwell to be told it wasn't possible. So having taken up residence on the sofa in reception to rest and stay close to a bathroom beffore my taxi came in the afternoon, to be told I could go back to the room if I wanted at around 2pm...

We came for our anniversary getaway. We were not disappointed. It met our expectations in every way. Room , pool, view, food, service was all top-notch. We will be coming back!

Our stay was good, it was nice to have a pool. The generator failed and we had to go and ask for information on the expected time for the electricity to come back on. We needed to get ready for a wedding at the hotel and had to do so with limited lighting (our torch). The staff did not mention it during checkout the next day.

Clean estate by the sea-side, with a private beach, and a huge lawn. The estate was exceptionally beautiful with European style buildings. The service was alright.

We stayed overnight for a wedding so spending two days at this delightful hotel. The lawned sunbed area was quiet and relaxing. All of the staff were attentive & very helpful. A perfect venue for a wedding with beautiful views.

Stayed in a cottage room. Great view. The hotel actually has a private beach. Pool is quite good. I had 2 kids with me who had a lot of fun at the beach and the pool. Food was quite tasty.

Room didn't have working TV or mini bar, even the safe didn't work. Only the safe was fixed during our stay. The room was messy and dirty, for actually had mud on it. Room service was slow and actually forgot two orders, as in it didn't get them to the room at all. Power/ plug points were broken and hanging out. And furniture was worn infested. Hotel had paid wi-fi, and had installed jammers such that you couldn't use data services, even in open areas. Check in and check out were slow and tedious. There only redeeming factor was the sea view offered, which was excellent.

Great hotel shame about the road 2 1/2 years its been going on

We really enjoyed our stay at the Prainha. The staff were very professional, polite and courteous. The Hotel was extremely well run with access to information, facilities to exchange money, good quality food and all facilities and amenities very clean. There was access to a small beach which enhanced our stay.

Overall it was a nice experience. Enjoyed the stay.

The Prainha is a nice hotel, but there is liitle to do in the surrounding area. If you want to lie in the sun and read, you'll love the beachfront property and the lovely grounds are extremely well kept. The private beach needs the same attention--plastic bottles and other trash littered the corners of the beach. Apparently It was no one's job to clean up Prainha's beach. I don't recommend the standard rooms. I was placed in a new building in the back of the hotel and had to walk up two flights of stars to get to my room. All the bedding and furniture was new and of high quality, but the building was still under construction. I had to walk thorugh the workmen finishing the other rooms on my floor. This was not a three star hotel accomodation given this circumstance. I asked to be moved to another room and the manager showed me a "cottage" room, which was nice, but wanted me to pay an additional $40 per night for the room. In my opinion, the cottage room was a standard room in a three star hotel. I declined to pay extra to move. I am over 65 and don't think I should have been placed in a two story walk up (three flights of stairs to get to the beach). In this way, the hotel did not meet my expectations of three star hotel. The hotel was only about half occupied so I could have been easily relocated but the manager declined. I paid too much for the room in which I was placed.

Beach was nice to look at, but not for swimming. If you are looking for a beach head north. Close to Panaji (capital) but still had to use taxis/tuc tucs. Staff were very helpful in helping us with train ticket.

A lovely good clean hotel with its own beach on the indian ocean.Your own swimming pool that was cleaned evryday by pool attendant.Sun lougers with mattresses are aplus, but be carefull you dont put under a risky cocoanut palm, when its windy they can fall. Breakfast is served by the pool plenty to eat and choices.Allin all a very pleasurable experience with happy smiling staff.

I was looking for a vacation this new year. It was a all girls trip. Waited for it the entire year and therefore wanted a hotel that could give me the best. Prainha was an awesome experience. The staff was hospitable. The manager Samuel was very cooperating and responsive to any ad hoc demands we had. The private beach and pool was the main attraction. It was a rejuvenating trip for me. If you are looking at some place quite & peaceful, want to enjoy the candle light dinner by the beach and walk in the beach with no rowdy crowd around, Prainha it is!
