It feels like I found a hidden gem, the villa is comfortable, clean, there are also many rooms, it's very suitable if you come in a group, the staff is also helpful, it's just that the place is a bit into a small alley, if you use a big car you have to park in a public parking lot so you have to walk a bit to the villa. Ibu Ibnu is a wonderful and attentive host, she helped us organise our day trips out of town and one night even brought us traditional herbal drinks from a nearby stall to try. The house itself is stunning, a beautiful example of a traditional Javanese house, full of history and character. Lots of musical instruments to play with, as you'd expect on Jalan Gamelan! Rooms are comfortable and well kept. Walking distance to the Kraton, the Taman Sari, Malioboro, the morning market Ngasem and the night markets at Alun Alun Kidul.

The Panorama Malioboro Hotel

Stayed here for 5 days, the room was clean, the service was good, the staff were also kind and friendly, asking for hot water was immediately given. The hotel is close to everywhere, if you want to go to Malioboro, you can just walk, there is a modern market and Superindo too. Will come back here if I go to Jogja again.
