During this pandemic, shankara is the best choice. It offers villa-type rooms so we can keep distance from other guests and also maintain our privacy. We enjoyed its swimming pool so much. The breakfast was also good. Within walking distance, there is bicycles rental station. We rented bicycles and hired a guide to enjoy beautiful village scenery, experienced pottery-making, and visited coconut brown sugar home-industry. So happy to meet nice people in the village. We really enjoyed our holiday in magelang at the fullest despite of the closure of Borobudur.

It’s very nice place to stay. The ambience is beautiful, the quietness, fresh air, nice room (the bathroom is awesome!!!) and beautiful pool view at night. Will go back there someday.

A comfortable, friendly hotel, close to the cultural center of Borobudur Temple.
Ambiance/Facilities: The serene atmosphere makes for a comfortable stay.
Food: The food is more traditional, but there are some Western dishes.
Staff Assistance: We were helped to upgrade to a larger room because there were no extra beds available.
Highlights: However, the most important thing is the comfort of the stay here; it was comfortable and serene.
Price: The price is very reasonable for the location and comfort provided.
Location: Very strategic location, close to Borobudur Temple and the cafes around the temple.

The location is strategic, close to Borobudur, there are many places to eat around.
I took a room with a garden view, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is big and clean, the children are safe and satisfied swimming here. Want to swim at night, the water is not cold.
What needs to be improved here is the cleanliness in public areas such as the lobby, restaurant, restaurant toilets, and yard. The variety of menus and the taste of breakfast also need to be improved.
If I return to Magelang, I will most likely return here.

The atmosphere is pleasant, both in the morning, afternoon and evening. The swimming pool and rooms are clean and most importantly close to tourist attractions. For additional input, a soap dispenser should be added to the sink area so that it is easier to wash hands. And if possible, upgrade the TV to a smart TV because it is a bit boring to watch local TV stations.

Spacious and clean bedroom - good swimming pool - nice ambiance. Meal is average which not giving many option. I have booked Shankara several times and I consider to visit again when I visit Magelang / Muntilan.

The pool is clean, the room is spacious, and the parking lot is spacious. The hotel is close to Borobudur temple, only 30 minutes walk. There are many food restaurants on the surrounding streets, so if you are hungry, just walk around

everything is okay.. parking is comfortable, check in is easy, the room is clean, it's immediately cold when you enter..
it's just that the bathroom needs a lot of repair, the roof is moldy, the toilet is a bit clogged and smelly, the water is stagnant, so when you take a shower the water doesn't drain immediately, I stayed at Anggrek 2.. next time if I have the chance I'll stay here again 🥰
