River Island Hotel

Very beautiful and cozy lobby interior, wonderful restaurant and night bar.

Very nice hotel with not much around it. Lots of closed shops and no restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was not good.

Property was nice, staff helpful, room comfy, restaurant on site was nice.

Lovely place to stay staff were lovely,and the breakfast buffet was great,the staff kept an eye on things and refilled when neccesary,definitely would stay again

Reception was amazing , there was a GAA awards ceremony and we were offered ear plugs if the noise got out of hand. We were moved up a floor to help with noise reduction. All round an amazing experience

We have stayed here before,rooms are cosy,staff all friendly,food mostly good,porridge tepid and watery so didn't get it rest of our stay(3nites)good choice at breakfast,hotel is central to bars,shops, restaurants and is only 20-30 mins from tralee and killarney.central for exploring kerry,ring of kerry, ring of dingle,spectacular scenery

Hotel is beautiful. Chechen was easy. Staff friendly and accommodating. Restaurant was busy, food and service was good. Room/bathroom are clean. Bed a bit hard for my comfort and pillows are flat and hard.

When we got back to our room in the evening there was a motor bike convention on with extremely loud music which was pounding into our room. When i went to complainThe manager moved us up a floor and provided earplugs and apologised. Did did actually end up getting a good night sleep and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were also very friendly.

Not the most comfortable beds, but very friendly staff! Parking lot in the back is a little inconvenient but better than just street parking

Had a vey soft mattress first night but the hotel was more than accommodating in moving us to another room that was very acceptable.

Really great hotel stay. Special thanks to Paul the night manager for hosting us after hours. Also thanks to kitchen staff for providing mushrooms and beans for non neater at breakfast. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice old style hotel with old style system that is lost in modern day hotels. Breakfast was brilliant, staff wonderful, beautiful lobby with an all over wooden finish. Plenty of little tuck aways for a private chat . Reasonable priced.

Unfortunately we had to ask for a change of room when we first arrived as there was a loud humming noise which unfortunately would have kept us awake during the night, the staff member however was very accommodating and changed us to another room immediately. The breakfast is adequate however it does not offer a lot of choice for anyone who does not like fried food. In regards the house keeping service I would have to say it was poor, the bed covers were just pulled over the pillows and the bed was not properly made. For anyone who needs the WiFi for work it was not working while we were there, apparently it had been faulty for over a week. The hotel itself is very convenient as a base to explore the surrounding area and the staff are very pleasant.

This is a beautiful old hotel with a great staff and a nice breakfast. There is no parking at the hotel but there is quite a bit of safe street parking in this quaint little town.
