I cannot say enough good things about The Ross Hotel. This review probably sounds like AI because I can’t stop raving, but we genuinely loved everything about it! We showed up very early and were greeted warmly by Ciara who checked us in and gave us options for our day in Killarney while we waited for our room to be ready. The whole hotel is SO cute and every member of staff that we encountered throughout our 4 nights was so nice and went above and beyond. They helped us book our day trips and gave suggestions on what to do/not do. Our room was ready early and our luggage was waiting for us when we went up. The window looked out over the church next door and was a stunning view. The room and bathroom were clean, the beds were comfy, and the decor was cute! We did not add the breakfast originally but opted for it one morning after hearing great things from other travelers and were blown away. The choices, quality, and value for money were amazing. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, it was a major highlight of our 2.5 week Ireland trip and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The Ross was amazing from start to finish! It was stylishly decorated and conveniently located downtown near the best restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was amazing and they even prepared us a to-go breakfast with scones and fruit since we had to be off early. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Killarney.

The national park was directly across the street as well as the horse and buggy rides. The location was so convenient and very walkable and safe at night . Check in and check out were quick and efficient. Everyone was so helpful. It is a very eco friendly hotel with a water filling station on the main level Coffee in our room was great. Room was very clean and quiet with an opening window. Bathroom was spacious and shower hot with lots of water. Bed very comfortable. The people made it even more pleasurable. The reception desk helped with booking a spa service at the plaza hotel next door and it was one of the best massages and facials we’ve ever had. They had a lovely hydrotherapy pool which we enjoyed. Many restaurants nearby We had drinks and apps at the hotel bar and it was delicious. We did the Ring of Kerry from here and it was so convenient to have a home to come back to. Left around 9am and with many stops along the way we were back around 6 pm. Highly recommend The Ross hotel

Overall a nice place but I would look at other places, lots to choose from in the area for the same price. Had to park at there sister hotel and got rained on while checking in. Difficult to get bags into the hotel. Location was very good and staff was friendly. Biggest problem was we had NO HOT WATER the day we were leaving. They said the boiler needed to be reset? We didn’t leave until 11:00 so why didn’t they have that figured out before then. Didn’t offer any kind of concession for the inconvenience which I felt was inappropriate.

The Ross is a small hotel right in town. The rooms are a little dated, but well maintained. Room 205 overlooks a cemetery, which may be an issue for some. The included breakfast is sit down with some delicious hot options (I.e. omelets, Irish Breakfast, etc). The bar around the corner, Paddy Sheehan’s had awesome live musical performances. There’s also a large/nicer gift shop nearby, Christy’s. The hotel itself has a bar downstairs, Polly’s. They had a decent selection of top shelf alcohol, but limited food options.
