Abbazia Collemedio Resort & Spa

Lovely stay for a few days to relax before a family wedding.

Had a wonderful 5 night stay with my family at Abbazzia Collemedio we had a friendly welcome and 2 connecting rooms which was perfect the room were clean, spacious, lovely shower and the rooms were not hot, we didn’t have to use the air conditioning in august! The beds were too hard for me though. We arrived at 3pm and even though lunch had finished they were very accommodating and offered us paninis at the pool bar. The hotel was quiet, pool wasn’t too cold and we had the most beautiful views and sunsets. Took advantage of a massage which was very nice. The only downside was the service at the restaurant during our evening meal it was very slow (I know you shouldnt rush an Italian!) and pretty sure we were forgotten as other people had their meals before us and came in after us, the food was ok we had better meals and because of the service we were put off eating in the restaurant as it was also quite expensive. We ate in other local places for lunch and dinner apart from our second to last night we had the local steak which was delicious.

Fantastic relaxing and peaceful stay. We stayed at Abbazia for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and we did not want to leave. Our stay was absolutely wonderful; the rooms are wonderful and the staff our so accommodating and friendly. The spa prices were very reasonable and I was impressed at the variety and quality of the many treatments they had on offer. The food was delicious with a different menu every day and dinner in the restaurant with the view of the Umbrian hills at sunset was beautiful. The two pool areas were clean and we enjoyed a very peaceful few days of sunbathing. I do recommend hiring a car for your stay as the prices of transfers or taxis are staggering (as taxis have to come from Assisi or Folignio) or if you plan to travel to any of the neighboring towns like Assisi, Montefalco or Perugia which are about 28 mins from the hotel by car. We definitely can’t wait to return soon and stay for even longer next time. Grazie mille bellissima Abbazia Collemedio!

This was a charming property with a stunning views of the Umbrian countryside and also served a beautiful breakfast. The service was excellent! Would definitely stay here again! Recommending this hotel to others!

This is a piece of paradise located in the lovely Umbrian countryside, yet still close to major routes and sights. Excellent service and amenities. Front desk was always very helpful.

Beautiful hotel & location, friendly staff downside you need a car to make the most of the area.

Nice area with parking on the property. Pool time till 7pm (should be till 9pm) Small windows in the room.

I should have done the private spa the moment I arrived! I would have done it several times during my visit. It set me straight after my flight & drive. Bed situation could be better. Minor detail. Everything was lovely, the grounds & Pool. The Spa (pay the 30 euro, do it) Breakfast was nice. Pool bar had everything I required, I loved the local house White wine. The Sandwiches saved the day several times. All of the Staff is excellent!

Abbazzia is a beautiful space which is extremely well maintained, clean and with all the amenities. Pool time was really nice. We drove out and didn’t stay for the dinner package - not a lot close by, expect to drive a good distance.

The restaurant and rooms were nice, but the grounds and facilities need work in some places. Staff members worked very hard to make our stay as good as it was.. The cooking class and lunch was good, but we had no warning that it would last about 3 hours. The Wine Room next to the restaurant looked nice, but it was never open. I thought I heard that there would be at least one tasting offered, but it never happened.

It was absolutely amazing! Great place, great food, great people. We LOVED being there! Couldn't have been happier....it truly was a beautiful part of our Italy experience!

Lovely authentic feeling building with everything you could want from a base for a few days exploring Umbria. The staff were fantastic and the view from the pool area was stunning.
