We have been several times to stay at the Smeraldo, welcomed back like old friends. Staff remembering us..

Very nice place convenient to shop some restaurants the staff overall was good, except the manager, Masimo did not care about Customer Service. I understand he was busy running in the business but with Customer Service was zero. And when he decide to help us was very rude

Friendly and welcoming staff, Clean comfortable room, wonderful breakfast. Close to many amenities and attractions. Will definitely be returning when I come back to Rome!

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I would stay here again. It’s central to all the major sites. I had a single room, so while small, still had plenty of room for my luggage and had a nice little balcony.

This hotel is perfectly located if you want to be in the center of the older part of Rome. I have stayed here before because of its location, helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, and reasonable price. The rooms are small - at least the ones I book - but comfortable. Because it is an old building each room differs somewhat in size and configuration, something quite normal in older hotels in Italy.

Perfect location, central to all the major sites. My single room was small, but comfortable and I enjoyed my little balcony.

This is a boutique hotel on a small side street just a few blocks off the main Via Arenula and within a few blocks of the Campo de Fiori. The front desk staff was extremely helpful - they arranged for our transportation from the cruise port to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport. A buffet breakfast was included at the adjacent cafe. There’s a rooftop bar as well. Great for a drink after a day of exploring. Even though it was in a very busy area, the rooms were quiet. No street noise. The rooms are small, typical of an Italian hotel in an old building, but well appointed, with a decent amount of storage. The bathroom was tiny, but modern. We were very pleased overall.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The location was in close proximity to great dining, gelateria, and Piazza Navona.

I'll start first that while Smeraldo is tucked deep into Campo de Fiori neighborhood, it is ideal for those familiar with the area and especially first time visitors such as myself. If youre traveling with small children or elderly, just know that the area requires a lot of walking without metro near but taxis at the hotel. My stay was especially brightened by Leonardo, one of the hotel staff, who was always cheerful, assisted with all my needs and questions, and just an all around great guy to talk to. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend first timers to travel light, use a good pack to avoid the heavy cobblestones, and always, always, always make meal reservations for any place in the vicinity.

Our stay was amazing, the staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was great with options for everyone. The location was very convenient for us because it was near all the spots we wanted to visit. The room was small but it worked for us, the only thing that we didn’t like was the mattress because it was a little hard.

Excellant location. We booked a Superior room but it was very small. Not enough storage for a 6 night stay. We will rebook this hotel but upgrade to a higher catagory and ask for room 208 or 307. Great staff lovely breakfast and unlimited cappuccino

Helpful staff, loved the rooftop lounge! Breakfast was great too! Our room was really warm and the traffic and noise from the street was unbearably loud. We would not stay here again unless we were on the courtyard side.

I loved my balcony and breakfast was amazing. The neighborhood was varied and interesting and close to several must see attractions. The staff was exceptional. I highly recommend it

Room: The room was spectacular, always clean and orderly, with a privileged view of the main street, allowing me to experience the charm of Rome’s historic center from the start. Location: The location is unbeatable, close to all major sites, with travel times ranging from 5 to 20 minutes. There are also a variety of restaurants within a 3-minute walk, and on Saturdays, there’s a nearby market that adds an authentic touch to the experience.
