I always love staying at the Ikebukuro area and this hotel was definitely a location i will be coming back to for future trips to Tokyo! The location is a bit tricky to find if you come by car because the gps will direct you to the front of the hotel on the main street but if you circle around to the back of the point on the map, there will be a parking area for Centurion hotel guests to have their car valet! Hotel consierge was very helpful and they have staff that also can speak english, korean, etc if you're worried about your limited Japanese comprehension. The room was so SPACIOUS? which i was not really expecting since it was in Tokyo, only 2 min walk from Ikebukuro station but it was such a nice surprise!!! Amenities are available on the concierge floor so make sure you grab things you need and that is also where the laundry is located. It is not complementary unfortunately, but understandable. The room was clean and location is super convenient so I highly recommend looking at this location for any future trips if you want to stay in Ikebukuro!

The location is excellent, just a quick four minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and there’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs which makes everything super convenient. The room was clean and had all the essentials, but the building itself feels a little rundown, especially the elevator and hallways. The lighting throughout the hotel is also quite dark, which gives it a slightly older feel. The bed was firm, which is pretty common in Japan, but from a North American perspective it might feel hard or uncomfortable if you have a sensitive back like me. I recommend asking for an extra duvet to make it softer and more cushioned. The staff were kind and helpful, and overall it was a decent stay in a great location for exploring Ikebukuro and beyond.

The room was small by western standards. We spent 8 nights here and it felt cramped. 2 adults and one teenager. There is no storage, so you are living out of your suitcase. One small closet at the entrance with5 hangers that’s it! Should note that there is a very large step up to get into the bathroom, so if you have mobility issues this could be problematic. The king size bed was acurate and the pull out was like a single bed but isn’t ideal for an adult or older child- thin, springy mattress with a mattress pad overtop and a duvet. Bedding was all very clean. Location is ideal for getting around and the staff at the hotel were super helpful and kind. We checked out at 10 am but our flight wasn’t till late afternoon so we were able to leave our luggage at the the hotel for a bit and when we came back they called us a taxi to take us to the airport which was great! Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a shuttle to Haneda airport. I would stay here again but I would make sure to get a room with two actual beds next time because the pull out is not great. Also there is a great mall closer by called sunshine city and they have an amazing observation deck that is absolutely worth going up to see. We stayed at the hotel during Dec 2-Dec10. We even felt the 7.6 earthquake on Dec 8 but all was good for us. I’d say given the cost of hotels, the location and service was good value and I would definitely recommend this hotel

The hotel is a short walk (about 5 min) from Ikebukuro station (come up from Parco if you need to use the elevator) instead of stairs. The rooms are a little dated and dim. The room carpet looks dark and dirty. The toilet is however bright and clean but has a bit of sewage smell. Reception staff is friendly. Hotel room was laid out nicely for three with the sofa bed for the third person. 7 eleven, Denny’s and small Japanese joints are conveniently located downstairs and nearby. Lots of shopping around in Ikebukuro. Overall, it’s still a value for money hotel in a good location.

This hotel is in good location. There’s anime shops nearby, bic camera, parco mall, and couple of train stations. There’s a walkable Ichiran ramen which we love and the famous I’m donut?. My only comment is that their rooms are small, specifically their shower and toilet area. It’s tight and a tall or big person will have an issue. Breakfast is served in on site Dennys chain. There is laundry available which is good if you need it. Staffs are courteous.

The staff were friendly and polite. The service was great. We stayed in a room with a large bed and there was enough space for big suitcases. The bathroom is a bit outdated as is some of the furniture, but the price and location were very reasonable for what we got, especially at the last minute. Our room did not have a microwave or laundry (we knew this when we reserved) but there were laundry and a microwave near reception that were free to use. The Denny's breakfast was a nice bonus! We would definitely consider staying here again.

The rooms were very small I would suggest spending the extra money for the bigger rooms but this was our second time staying at Centurion and we enjoyed it just like last time. The location was perfect the station was a short walk away and there were decent food option close by. The fact that there is a 7/11 right down stairs made it even more convenient!

The location is excellent, just a quick four minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and there’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs which makes it super convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with all the basics you need. That said, I stayed in three different rooms at this hotel, and this particular one was by far the smallest. I only had carry-on bags, and there wasn’t enough space to open them unless I put them on the bed or the small desk. The desk didn’t even have a proper chair, just a low cushion seat like a footstool, so it wasn’t comfortable to sit and work on a laptop. The building itself feels a bit old, especially the elevator and hallways, and the lighting throughout is quite dim. The beds are firm, which is pretty standard in Japan, but from a North American perspective they can feel quite hard. If you have a sensitive back, definitely ask for an extra duvet for more cushioning. Overall, the location and service were great, but the room was extremely compact and not ideal if you need space or plan to work from the room.

The staff at the hotel obliged by request to have a room at the low floor near the lift because I am smoker, making my stay a lot more comfortable since the outside smoking area is outside the 3rd lobby. I hope the lighting can be brighter in the room, the only negative feedback I have of the hotel. And if it is possible, a coffee bean coffee machine will be much nicer than the instant coffee machine. At your price, it is good value since the hotel is a 7 mins slow walk to Ikebukuru, East Exit (N). The room is also slightly bigger than some hotels costing nore than1 time in Nov. Fix the ligthings in the room and you will get 5 stars easy. Breakfast is at Dennys at the 2nd floor valued at 820yen. Nice. I would love to stay at this hotel again, please brighten the room for business travellers.
