Hotel Forza Osaka Namba Dotonbori

Fantastic location. Right in the heart of Dotonbori. Room was quite small but expected for Japan. Breakfast was unique and extensive for a smaller hotel. Limited laundry facilities for size of hotel.

Stain is in the restroom wall and plastic chairs. Sofa is old. Found a small red spider on blanket. Staff in kitchen isn’t helpful.

My biggest pet peeve is cleanliness in a hotel. I’m not sure if it’s because of the location (Dontobori which is pretty dirty) but this hotel was not it. Our room was actually pretty gross with the walls stained, the carpet visibly stained, the toilet paper roll stained….I have no words. Additionally, when we got there we read a sign (we weren’t told we had to read a sign) that says there’s construction in the building next to us from February 16th, 2026 to October 20th, 2026 and we will most likely hear noises. During the week we heard the construction (loudly) but luckily at night and during the weekend we did not. I tried to be positive while we stayed so to be fair the location is in the middle of the chaos of Dontobori, fairly priced, and view was nice. But if you are a tourist and don’t want to stay in the Japan version of Las Vegas/New York do not stay here. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Forza Osaka Namba is a fantastic choice, highlighted by its unbeatable location right in the heart of Namba, making it incredibly easy to walk to Dotonbori and local transit lines. The food was a major highlight, featuring a delicious variety of high-quality local specialties at breakfast, and the entire property boasts excellent, modern accessibility. Throughout the stay, the services were top-notch, with incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. The only downside was a lack of ventilation, which caused the room to get quite hot and stuffy at times. Despite the room temperature issue, the excellent hospitality and prime location make it a place I would absolutely recommend.

Hotel Forza is right in the middle of the action in Dotombori. Even though it’s in a busy area, the rooms are well insulated so that you are not able to hear the outside noise.

Look, I'm not gonna lie. When it comes to location, this place is all Aces! Right in the middle of Dotonbori street is a pretty great place to be, if you don't mind stepping out into the chaos of that street. Lots of restaurants, shops, and arcades nearby. That being said, there are some things to consider before you book here. 1: The room is much smaller than you expect. Certainly smaller than the photos represent. 2: There were unidentifiable stains on our carpet. We ended up putting extra towels over them, because God knows what they came from. 3: There was a sewer gas smell that kept appearing in our bathroom, despite us having the fan on. 4: The laundry situation... Look, if the hotel is anywhere near capacity, good luck being able to do your laundry on site. They only have 3 very small washing machines for this huge hotel. They also don't clean the machines very often, from what I could tell. I'm not going to beat a dead horse here. I've certainly stayed in much worse. It's not a bad hotel. It's just not a great one. If location is the most important thing to you, then feel free to book this hotel for your stay.

Great fun location and perfect hotel if you like being right in the action

Really smooth check-in process and staff spoke sufficient English. Can book luggage transfer online w a QR code, they provide a pamphlet. Also hold your luggage behind doors. Provide water, ice, laundry (need to pay), pajama nightgown, and coffee/tea. Great water pressure, super quiet considering it’s in the middle of dotonbori. Would stay here again definitely!!

Hotel was overall nice but the cleaning in the rooms could be better. Black mold on shower head, old liquid stains on wall near trash can, various splatter marks on tables. These are obvious to the naked eye. I can only imagine how gross the carpets are. As for as the neighborhood, you’re either going to love it hate it. It’s probably the most touristy and dirtiest streets in all of Osaka. The hotel was surprisingly quiet inside except for the 24/7 construction going on outside that we were not notified of until our arrival. No email or message from hotel. If you’re on the eastern side of hotel you might be able to feel the vibrations at night from the construction like I did although I admit I am fairly sensitive to these kinds of things when sleeping, I must admit. Overall hotel could be better if cleaning was improved. Location didn’t do it for me but that’s subjective.

Excellent location, right in the middle of Dotonbori. Close to 2 train stations for easy access. Kuramon market was just 10mins away. Hotel staff was excellent and rooms were very clean.

Great location - staff were helpful and the room was probably the widest room I’ve had in Japan. This hotel opens directly onto the busy street so great to immediately get whatever you need.

Hotel was good , only issue i had is i left a pair of black pants in my room called to see if i can get them & they told me my pants werent there , when there isnt anywhere else they could be unless someone is stealing in the hotel , im also a hotel staff worker so this was a major concern for me that guest can potentially lose things in there room & be told its not there

Excellent service and accessible area.

Air conditioning was very bad during our stay. Even with the AC fan set to high, it barely felt like any air was coming out. The thermostat was set to 20°C, which is the lowest setting, but the room still felt very hot, especially at night. We stayed for 3 nights and were sweating every night because of how warm the room was. We complained to the front desk multiple times, but they said they could not do anything about it. They also did not have fans to provide. One staff member even suggested using the humidifier as a fan. If you are coming from a cold place or you are a hot sleeper, I would recommend choosing a different hotel.
