The room was comfortable and clean. It's conveniently located near Ueno Station, making it easy to get everywhere. One of my friends left her phone in her room and didn't realize it until later. The hotel staff helped her secure it. This hotel is affordable, clean, comfortable, and safe.

The location is very strategic, very close to Ueno Station. The room is clean, the amenities are complete, and what I really liked was the ability to store my luggage, so I could comfortably explore Tokyo before returning home without having to carry my luggage.

Great stay at Hotel Livemax! The staff was friendly and was able to communicate with me and my girlfriend who was traveling from the U.S. The location is right next to a convenience store and not too far of a walk from the station. It was the perfect central location for our time to explore Japan.

When I booked via Expedia, there's no option about non-smoking or smoking. When I saw my room was for smoking, I emailed the hotel but they never answered. When arrived, they said I couldn't be changed. Cigarette smells the whole hotel!

For my fellow Americans, please realize hotel rooms in Tokyo are small. This hotel is no except. But it was clean and close to the Ueno train station. Staff spoke English well and checkin and out was no problem. It’s clean and functional. Good if you just want a crash pad which our family wanted. It’s also hard to find a hotel that will allow 4 people in 1 room. 3 seems to be the max.

外観はキレイでしたが、部屋は普通のビジネスホテルで、床の絨毯の劣化を少し感じました。
でも泊まるだけなら問題なく宿泊できます。
上野駅自体が広い事もあってか、少し上野駅からは距離があります。ちょうど上野駅と稲荷町駅の間くらいなので、どちらかというと稲荷町駅の方が近いです。
