The room was very spacious and very well equipped. Quiet, comfortable and clean. Location was perfect being adjacent to the historic Bikan district and a short taxi ride to the train station.

The location of this hotel couldn’t be more perfect. It is steps from all the shops, cafes, canal, etc in the Bikan historic district. The hotel could use some updating, but was still lovely and comfortable. This part of our stay in Japan was our favorite.

Nice hotel in a perfect location . However pictures about the size of the rooms are a bit deceiving. Wished would have chosen a bigger one as it felt like we were still in Tokyo .

美観地区の中の素敵なホテルです。駅からはのんびり15分くらい歩きます。歴史的な建物に宿泊しているという特別な雰囲気があり、綺麗な中庭もあるのですが、ちょうどお祭りイベントがあり大変混み合っていて、ゆっくり出来なかったです。朝食は地元食材をふんだんに使用して作られたメニューが多く素晴らしかったです。朝食の料金が宿泊者でも(宿泊予約時の手違いをメールでお知らせしましたが)一般料金で対応されたのが残念でした。

The room was very nice but possibly as far from the entrance as humanly possible. Staff were absolutely strict about the 3pm check in. The highlight was the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptionally good. I usually prefer not to eat at the hotel but weather forced my hand and this one really paid off.

Room was so small that 2 person could not go by each other (about 20”) so as space between the beds (about 10”). There was no space to place 2 small carry on suitcases. Bathroom was ok. Clean- yes and that is why it’s 3 stars.

歴史的な建物を生かした内装で、雰囲気がとてもよいホテルでした。改装されてホテルの部屋も使いやすく、大浴場もきれいでよかったです。朝食も館内のショップも満足。ただ、部屋のシャワーの排水の関係か、それともエアコンの掃除のせいか、時々ややカビ臭いにおいがあがってくることがありました。それ以外は最高でした！

The hotel is amazing, being a repurposed cotton spinning mill. Its location is on the edge of the historic area, so everything is in close proximity. The staff were excellent, helping us with a couple of problems we faced. We loved the city and the hotel.
