Okayama View Hotel

Nice place

Very nice and quiet room, very good location, clean, close to the park and station. Everything was perfect and clean. Highly recommend.

If you paid to stay at this hotel, you have already paid too much. The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff, they were friendly and polite. As for the building, to call this hotel "dated" is an understatement as it is right out of the 1960s. The room was hot and the AC was not working properly. We opened the windows to cool off, but the area around the hotel was not great. It was noisy and smelled like diesel. The room had a lot of dust and the carpets were dirty. I would not recommend staying at this hotel pr even think about this hotel as there are better accommodations elsewhere.

The hotel was close to the castle and gardens also close to the bus station with a direct bus to the port to travel to Naoshima. The staff were very friendly. Traditional Japanese breakfast was very good.

Great location!

The hotel is inflexible. We needed to adjust our schedule depending on what time the room cleaning is done. I also asked if we can stay one more hour after the designated check out time, which I think is accommodated by most of the hotels worldwide, but I was asked for an one hour over stay charge for that!

Great staff. Good restaurant for Japanese breakfast. Washing machine. Close to shopping and restaurants and grocer.

Nice Japanese style hotel. Simple, but adequate. The heating/cooling system made strange clicking noises in the night, which woke us up. Don’t know if we could have prevented that somehow.

Basic business hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Close enough to the train station and the sites.

very happy to have booked this last minute hotel: staff was very accommodating to our english to the best of their abilities (it took some time haha) and the breakfast was so yummy! room was also very clean

Stayed in a Japanese room and it was large for 3 pax. Breakfast was simple and their speciality is fish which is very nice.

It was comfortable and quiet small room. 15 minute walking distance from Okayama station. Breakfast was nice.

Excellent hotel. Hard to find but close by shopping and not far from main station. Staff english wasn't good or easy to communicate. Room was great which is most important.

Unfortunately we walked here from the station in the rain, only to have to stagger up the front stairs with our suitcases, we later discovered that there is a lift in the carpark, underneath. The check in clerk was quite abrupt but the other staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. As with all the hotels we have stayed in, in Japan, the room was small but well equipped. There was no need to bring any toiletries on this trip. The bed was quite low but very comfortable When we checked out we left our luggage at reception, every hotel, so far, has been happy to do this. As it was still pouring with rain, we ate dinner in the hotel restaurant. The waiter was lovely and tried his best to inform us of everything. This was an interesting, enjoyable, experience. We had no idea what was going to arrive at the table next, all beautifully presented and delicious, although the squid was a bit tough. A really good meal

After many small hotel rooms at similar prices, this hotel provided an excellent Japanese style room with 4 comfortable futons. Rare in Japan the seperate rooms for toilet and bath/shower were also welcome. Good central location, the hotel is ideal for day trips to Miyajima and surrounds.

We book a 4ppls Japanese style room. The room is large and very clean. The Japanese style shower room and the separation of toilet and shower room is very good which is seldom in Japan city hotel. Check in and checkout process is quick.

A four days short trip to see Okayama, very enjoyable and wonderful food and place.

I've stayed here many times; it's always pleasant and the service is excellent. It's also cleaner than the chain business hotels I have used in Japan.

The room we had was brand new with a lot of light and extremely clean. We chose the traditional Japanese style room and it was really comfortable. The hotel staff was really helpful and nice and the hotel is conveniently located. Overall a really nice stay!

Okayama is a good town to use as a base to travel. Plus the hilltop castle is gorgeous as is the gardens
