This is one of Nairobi's best kept secrets. Great, serene ambience you could as well be on a safari with all the wildlife around you. Great friendly staff and one of the best food I have tasted in an NBO hotel. I will stay here again and again.

We reached out via Expedia days to check-in to request for a refund or amendment, the Hotel advised that they would reach out on status, they never did despite the reasons given for the request. That was rather distasteful and the lack of communication was most regrettable.

Worst stay I’ve ever experienced. I booked and paid the hotel through Hotels.com however when I got there, they made me pay the rate I already paid a second time, charging me double because I had a guest. This was so unheard of, and I felt completely unsafe in a country I didn’t know at all. This is at very best a 2 star hotel, towels had a bad smell, the room door couldn’t be locked, and there’s no A/C or heater in the room.

West Wood Hotel is a special place. Very conveniently located in West Wood, its backyard makes you feel like you are already on safari with monkeys, did-diks, bee-eaters, etc. Very friendly staff and nice rooms.

Westwood is a gem in the middle of a city. Its quiet, tranquil, nestled in the forest with a small stream. Everything went smooth with our stay, the staff were super friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The conference I was supposed to attend at West Wood was moved to a different hotel just 48 hours before the conference was to begin. I had no idea it was a result of the hotel overbooking. So, I arrived expecting a 5 night stay and was told that I only had a room for 2 nights due to overbooking. It was around midnight and there wasn't much I could do. I told the person at the front desk I would find another hotel for my stay and would just sleep over that night. An Expedia rep was nice, but couldn't do anything for me that evening. I called around on my own and found a place to stay where my conference had been relocated. In the morning, I tried to check out and the manager told me I could not check out. She didn't tell me my driver had arrived to transport me to a new hotel. She proceeded to tell me that I was comfortable at the hotel and should just stay while she sorted out the rooms and relocated someone else. I told her it wasn't necessary and we began a back and forth about where I should stay. She refused to give me a refund, saying that I was being accommodated so could no longer relocate to another hotel. Once I found out my driver came to take me to a new hotel, I left and had repeated phone communication with West Wood and Expedia to get a refund issued.
