I highly recommend this place. The location is excellent, with a great selection of nearby restaurants, including Tora, Manta, Opa!, and Chophouse and a near by Mall. It's also just a five-minute walk to the ferry terminal with easy access to Valletta.The staff were exceptionally professional and welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The gym was impressive, offering modern equipment, fitness classes, and personal training options.The pool area was another highlight, providing a relaxing atmosphere and stunning views of Valletta.

The hotel was well located, easy access to transportation to get to main attractions. Close to really good dinner options. Their morning buffet was a bit pricey but included a lots of choices. Great gym and spa. The pool area was beautiful, great view .too bad i didn't get to enjoy it, it was too cool for us but if I come back in summer I won't miss it!! The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious. We had some view of Valleta and it was a great sight to wake up every morning!

Amazing stay in our Premium sea view room. The hotel facilties were incredible from the Spa to the Gym.

The room was lovely, the balcony door was very heavy, if you are elderly, you wouldn't be able to open it readily.
The pool was good 5 minutes walk through underground corridors and opened 9am to 7pm which is pretty useless if you go out for the day.I would expect 7am to 10pm.
The outside of the hotel has bleak grey corporate looking courtyard just paving, no plants or anything homely.
But that said it is clean, the rooms are spotless, huge bed with great pillows, brilliant shower, more than enough toiletries and tea coffee etc.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.
We didn't eat in the hotel as prefer to try out the local area which had plenty to offer.

Love this hotel, it’s new and clean and modern. Conveniently located by the biggest shopping mall in Malta, minutes away from ferry to Vletta, many food options right around the corner. Great spa and gym and swimming pool, absolutely love iy

I had a room on the 8th floor with a long balcony and a beautiful view of Valletta. The hotel is nicely located in Sliema with easy bus and ferry access. The room was large and the bathroom has a show and nice tub. Definite recommend.

Barceló Fortina is a well located hotel with excellent facilities, including an excellent gym, spa, restaurants, and access to a lido with beautiful views of Valetta. Well located in Sliema close to restaurants, shops and ferry terminals. The room was large and very comfortable.

The hotel was great but what sold it not was the service! There was great customer service from the team at the front desk, to staff we just walked past, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel was modern, clean and inviting. Large rooms and spaces to relax around the hotel. Would highly recommend

It's been long coming, as previous patrons of the old Fortina. We took note of the changes, but still loved the hotel for what it is. It's clean, comfortable, parking is cheap, the bar is quiet and well stocked and the restaurants are top notch. In what is today a multicultural society, we were also pleased and proud to note that in the main restaursnt, the chef is Maltese and there is a healthy mix of local and foreign staff.

We stayed for three nights. We had a partial harbour view which was lovely. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. The room is well equipped and comfortable. Not eco-friendly as they replaced our towels each day even though we hung them up, and only replaced the bathroom bits a couple of hours before we were checking out?? They did a lovely cake and free gift. Tora was also great for lunch with an amazing view and a walk through the labyrinth under the road to get there! Only a few minutes walk to the ferry terminal to go over to Valetta. Sleima is definately the tourist side, but has a great view and lots of restaurants. Would recommend!

The hotel is ideally situated for the marina, buses, shopping, all the staff are warm and friendly from reception, restaurant, housekeeping etc and have a nothing is too much trouble attitude. My birthday was made very special with a surprise cake and desert, and after a 3 week stay we would not hesitate in returning. Our sea view with balcony was excellent and every evening chocolates are brought to the room which is a very nice touch, and guests asked if they need anything. No faults with the hotel or service, but they could do with toilet facilities in the ground level for convenience.
Not possible to name everyone, but would like to thank Goran Sachevski, Gabriella, and all the staff who we encountered with friendliness and warmth.

Great location, within walking distance of so many great options. The room is really nice and modern. We loved the awesome fitness center. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Would stay here again for sure.
