Radisson Blu Resort, Malta St. Julian's

This was my first time in Malta, and I could not have landed in a better hotel (or maybe I could, for a significantly higher price, but I’m really happy with my choice). The Radisson is perfectly located on a rocky promontory at the Eastern end of St George’s Bay. It’s 10 minutes walking from the craziness of Paceville, but at the same time it’s secluded enough to not suffer from the congestion or noise of the area. Good dining options are plentiful, including in the hotel and some “cousin” hotel nearby. Despite the (wonderfully) isolated position, there’s a new shopping mall 5 minutes away (walking) and you are about 15 minutes from Sliema, 20 from Valletta, 25 from the Three Cities, and 50 from Mellieha (all driving times). Breakfast is fantastic, room was spacious (though not huge), bathroom clean and new, beds and pillows totally comfortable. Staff was helpful and the concierge people were very knowledgeable and helped us in making great choices of trips around town. Only dark spot was the staff at The Edge (the second bar by the sea) who were not particularly helpful or attentive. But overall the Radisson was a fantastic choice that I’d be happy to repeat in the future.

Hotel was great. Breakfast was amazing, highly recommend that. Staff was very helpful as well, offering suggestions for activities. This is a more quitet part of the island, so not really within walking distance of much, but the ubers & taxis were reasonably priced around 20 to 25 euro would get you in to Valetta.

Since Staying at the Sheraton in Dubrovnik, Croatia, I have not written a review like this! The staff and the views of the Mediterranean were incredible. The breakfast and the kindness of the lead hostesses and the waitstaff were simply the best. They were kind and caring-making sure that our every need was taken care of. The front desk staff too-from the check-in to check-out were the definition of customer service!! In addition, the breakfast buffet was delicious-they even had a juicer!!! We arrived in Malta, and first stayed at the Holm-we quickly switched hotels-my husband questioned the added expense-since we had already paid for a stay at the other hotel. We both came away saying-so glad we made the switch and yes, paying for additional seven nights at the Radisson was the reason our trip was so memorable The Radisson Blu in St Julien’s is a must if you are planning on going to Malta. This resort is sure not to disappoint!!! Many thanks again to all of the incredible staff who work there!!!
