Barceló Ixtapa All Inclusive

Fantastic

We moved rooms two times. First move due to no elevators in the first building. Second move due to brown liquid coming from pipes into the bathroom. All inclusive doesn’t include all restaurants, just two fine dining restaurants over an eight day stay. The fine dining wasn’t worth the extra cost of eating there again. Buffet dining was mediocre and nothing to get excited about, and wasn’t enjoyable for three meals a day. The oceans view were beautiful but doesn’t compensate the whole experience.

I’m Very happy with the service and attention to the guest , also the BARCELO band is awesome!!! The entertainment show is excellent , I enjoyed coming every day at 9pm to enjoy the music show. Friday night was the best !!!

Everything was excellent, from the cleanliness and facilities to the staff. 10/10

We had a great view of the ocean and saw beautiful sunsets everyday from our room. The staff is very attentive and friendly, food was great and the nightly entertainment was very enjoyable. The rooms are very clean and loved the minibar with water and soda refills daily. This is our second stay at a Barcelo hotel, the other being Huatulco and can't go wrong, we are planning our next Barcelo stay as we speak...thank you Barcelo.

We came down on our honeymoon. We found the staff were very amazing. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. I would’ve given a full five star review but a couple things stood out to us that we found to lower our rating. 1. No one told us anything about the resorts many attractions when we arrived. They just signed us in and we were left to our own devices. My wife and I had to hunt down maps and figure out where everything was 2. The concierge times are unknown and not posted anywhere. We asked the front desk several times where the concierge was and they kept pointing to an empty office. We eventually found out they showed up at 9am (maybe) and stayed for an uk own period of time. 3. This resort uses a beach which the public uses as well. We were not informed of this at all. It didn’t damper our experience whatsoever but we found that we didn’t trust our things left j attended at all. 4. The bars are all staged times of open and closed. We had to figure it out our own way as there was no map or pamphlet explaining which bars were open when. Or restaurants The good things! The food on the Friday Mexican party was unreal. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The bartender at the smaller pool (had braces, can’t remember his name) was amazing and super friendly. Mr. Joy at the front desk helping with the bags was a delight! The Barceló team made up our bed with lots of roses in a heart shape for when we arrived. I found that to be an amazing and thoughtful gift! Thank you!

The room was clean but dated. On our first morning the rooms had no electricity. That same morning the main coffee machines were down for 2 hours. Many upset guests. Food was subpar at best. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean.

Staff members are great always willing to help out. Hotel needs improvements like the pools, the restaurants not buffet are great but not the buffet restaurant. Also, the reserve of the sun beds are out of control, they need to add more beds or not tolerate people reserving them and not use them

The staff were great, the room was nice and clean upon arrival also were given our room around 2pm which was perfect. Good for family vacations and the drinks were okay. Food was good too but they don’t really change it much, so about the same food everyday. The good thing is they have a few restaurants

Property needs air conditioner in public areas/dining areas. Bathroom had a leak in the roof. Shower only had a half glass, water would exit the shower area and leak into the room. You had to be extra careful to not splash water everywhere. Air conditioner in room didn’t work well, was still somewhat warm inside the room. Night time shows were entertaining but need better fans/AC. Very limited options for dining. Similar foods every day. Could only do 1 “ special” dining reservation for every 3 days you stay at the hotel.

The staff was a little bit to angry all the time, i would recommend to get better staff.

Make sure when you book what is included Because in my checking they say the age of my daughter was less than cero years and they charge me extra becasuse she is five Plus they didn’t allowed me to reset dinner in the restaurants because of my short stay I’m not available to do so Something they don’t specify on they site

Barceló Ixtapa is a nice and beautiful hotel that can be very friendly for families. I stayed with my family during a very busy month-week, which means a lot of noise, a lot of people and not much room to move around in common areas. Be mindful of that when you book, you want to definitely avoid high season. Food was nice, although there weren’t many options and it became repetitive (to be fair most of the people stay there only a couple of days, so I guess the buffet doesn’t feel boring, we stayed for a week).
