B&B México Roma Norte

It is a property in a great location for Mexico City. It is really a small apartment building (1960s?) with a B&B floor. The Family who runs it are great very nice people. It is kept exceptionally clean. It is spartan so don't expect a Hotel experience. Overall great location clean very nice staff.

This B&B is cheap and cheerful - a great place to lay your head. The location is super. Two minute walk to the metro and right in the heart of a great neighbourhood. There is plenty of great atmosphere and places to explore by foot from here. The interior is clean and the hosts are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good and I didn't feel like I was sharing a bathroom because I never encountered any other users. It's very safe and is continuously under lock and key. There were two drawbacks for me. The room I was in overlooked the road and it was extremely noisy! There is a bar across the road, and even with earplugs in I felt like the band was at the foot of my bed. It took hours to get to sleep on the Friday night. On the Saturday night I was pleasantly surprised that the music stopped in the bar at about 9pm and didn't restart. The second gripe I had was the drinking water made available to guests. It is contained in a 4 gallon commercial water jug, dispensed from a water cooler and is pointed out on check in as your source for drinking water. Which you assume is filtered bottled water. I filled my water bottle on check out to bring with me for my journey. On the first sip I immediately tasted that this was water from the tap and not safe, for a gringa like me. When I looked at it there was even particles floating around. I was very disappointed by this deception, had I not tasted the difference it could've made me very sick.

Clean, friendly and good location. They don't allow visitors for security which if great if you're nervous about saftey. The staff will always be there to open the front door and there when you leave to lock it. Breakfast was great and I was always greeted with a smile. The Bedroom and shared bath was very clean.

Great little hotel, convenient to the metro. Staff was great and very helpful.

Hotel Roma was close to everything! They didnt have a laundry service, but they did have great breakfast. They had an elevator which was nice. We did have to ring the door bell for them to come open it and each floor had a digital combination that they didnt provide to us. So we would wake them everytime we came in late. They were polite, so I guess its good service. We rented bikes so it was easy to get around town from there

Very clean and quiet. Service was great, staff is very frendly. All restaurants are nearby if you like walking aroud.

The family who run this B&B went out of their way on more than one occasion to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We only had the breakfast one day since we don't normally eat breakfast, but it was delicious! A more authentic experience than giving our money to some hotel chain. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

I stayed 2 nights and the truth was good, weather, cleanliness, attention, very well.

First I do want to say that the staff here is fantastic. They are kind and efficient. And the daily breakfast? Awesome! But the rest of the place- not so great. They have a wierd security system so that if you are on the first floor, as I was, you are unable to access the second floor unless someone lets you in. The first floor is sterile, and bleak, as was my room. The living room/library is on the second floor. The shared bathrooms were kept clean, but they are tiny with no room for personal bath products. No paper towels either, so if you forgot your bath towel you were out of luck. There is no filtered water source on site.

We really enjoyed our stay. Not a "luxury" place, feels more like staying at a friends house. The hosts were so nice, and had great tips for us. They answered any questions we had. The place is right by a metro stop, and close enough to the plaza and shopping to walk/bike. There is a bike rental station right outside, which we made great use of (I think it was 9USD for 3 days of bike use for rides up to 45 minute long increments). One inconvenience was having to ring the doorbell to get in, and then having to have the host punch in the code at our level, but really made it feel safe so I understand why they do it this way. Breakfast was home cooked every morning. We did get a noise complaint for talking at night, because we had our door open and the walls are quite thin, so you do run the risk of being next to noisy people (such as ourselves, apparently), but we didn't really have any issues since we have no trouble sleeping with some quiet TV noise in the background through the walls. The room itself was clean, they provided towels and made our bed for us each day. No natural light/view, if that's important to you. For us it didn't matter, and there may be other rooms with the option. There is a TV, and a small locker. Closet space was ample. Shared bathroom was kept nice and clean, and the shower was nice and hot. Overall, we were really happy with our stay over New Years Eve, and would definitely stay here again!

Really well located and great value B&B. Pleasant and helpful hosts who make great Mexican breakfasts. Property could do with some maintenance and sprucing up, but it's adequate. Rooms are large, but the shared bathroom was very small. Not recommended for the mobility impaired.

Todo es perfecto, el personal es muy amable, te sientes como en casa como, como en familia. Todo estuvo perfecto.

Pésimo servicio, las instalaciones muy viejas y el mobiliario igual. La televisión solo tenía un canal. La atención mala. Tuve que salir antes del check out por qué era muy desagradable estar ahí.

El Host es muy amable...se da el tiempo de explicarte lo que tú le preguntes, además son muy amigables y el lugar me gusto mucho!!

Todo bien, mucha amabilidad e indicaciones claras, pero hay algunos detalles que deben mejorar. Por ejemplo, no dan shampoo ni jabón, hay mosquitos en las habitaciones, la ventilación no es la mejor, el café que dan en el desayuno en soluble (no es café), falta iluminación natural, las cobijas son muy pequeñas y no es fácil acomodarse a ellas, hace falta una mesa de trabajo, la calle es muy ruidosa si te toca estar del lado de la ventana, no dan agua... Todo esto son pequeños detalles que no costaría mucho el implementar o mejorar, pienso yo, y que haría la estadía un poco mas llevadera. La gran ventaja del lugar es su ubicación, excelente wifi, y por el precio me parece que es una buena elección.

Personal se atiende muy amable. Se da desayuno agua para nescafe, pan tostado, fruta (un dia no hubo) y algo mas, como huevos o sopes. No hay jabon ni chmpu en el bano. Como el bano es compartido, si hay alguien duchandose, hay que esperar o buscar al otro piso. Dicen que hay una caja fuerte, pero no tiene candado. Cada quien tiene que traerlo.
