Cancún is beautiful but very touristy and not much privacy, hacienda offers peace and tranquility. Staff takes pride in the hacienda and it shows. Hacienda is perfect for history buffs or anyone that just wants to feel like they are in a fairy tale.

The staff were amazing! They went above and beyond for our group and had great communication. The pictures didnt match up in real life compared to the website. Very lack luster. Because of the photos we expected high-end. But it was definitely not that. The restaurant did have good food but hours are very limited. The breakfast was not included even though it said it was on the reception sign and online. The website also stated it has transportation to the airport. It was just a very run down small taxi that barley made ot to the airport. Next time i would book my own transfer. However thats not the staffs fault but the hotels. All in all it was a great stay and we would be back just because of the kind staff.

We spent 5 nights at this beautiful hotel . A short distance from town. A huge property in beautiful grounds. So peaceful waking up to the bird noises in the garden and nothing else to disturb the tranquility . We had the whole place to ourselves for the first night which was magical. Friendly staff. One point , for a hotel of this quality and prices , breakfast should really be included . Apart from that , I would thoroughly recommend

If you want a nice and quiet place far from the noisy animations of streets and restaurants, and do not care about the absence of Wi-Fi in the bedrooms, this is a perfect place to go. Nice woody environment, with birds singing. The rooms are clean, and give us the impression of going back to the 19th century time with old fashion furniture. The staff is very nice and efficient. There is a place for the breakfast but we did not use it so I cannot comment of that.

Photos can be very deceiving and so can customer reviews! Our one night stay at the Hacienda Kaan Ac was by far one of the worst stays on our entire trip to the Yucatan. I have stayed in wonderful centuries old villas in Italy and Spain in the past so I thought I knew what I was getting into but I was seriously mistaken. 1. The GPS on our phones does not take you to the entrance to the hacienda. It took us forever to figure out how to get inside because of the GPS and lack of signage. 2. The guard at the gate who let us in was standing by during the day with the gate down but left the entrance unattended and the gate wide open after dark. 3. There was no one to help us with our bags down several flights of wet and slippery outdoor steps to our basement level, cave like room, The staff left mid afternoon and it seemed no one was on the premises except us until the next morning. The receptionist did take us to the room but did not give us a tour or a map of the rather larger property. We had to figure that out on our own. 3, When we did encounter various issues, there was no staff to be found. We needed extra towels, the water pressure was barely more than a trickle. We did not have enough pillows or towels and had to use our one bath towel as an improvised pillow that evening. No wifi was available unless outside. The mattress was as hard as a rock. I could go on and on but I’ll just say don’t stay there!

Hacienda Kaan Ak was a fabulous experience and stay. This was mainly driven by the caring and humble staff that work there. The staff keep the heart beating of the hacienda. There is so much more potential for the grounds itself and I wish it and the owner well in continued development of the property

Beautiful grounds , tranquil, with a sense of it's history still intact.Room was clean but could use a refresh. Overall a pleasant oasis from the hyper active energy of Valladolid centro. Understaffed, although maybe that's due to off season.Still, no help getting luggage to the rooms and no refreshments available in the afternoon. It would be helpful to have at least minimal food and drink available upon check in for arriving guests. We were not made aware that the restaurant closed at 3pm, necessitating a journey into town for dinner. Overall a decent place for a bed and a pool, but not much more. FYI, Valladolid is a fifteen minute drive , a 170 peso /$10USD taxi ride away.

Although, I'd have to say it's a beautiful place it's rather creepy at night. It's understandable since the property was established in the year 1500 so it carries a lot of history. I did feel the rooms were a little dusty and needed to be dusted I also saw cobwebs so I little cleaning would help. We did only stay for one night so I can't really review the service.
