If not for the fresh fruits and yoghurt at breakfast, the stay would have been below average. The rooms lack proper ventilation, and guests are requested to keep the only small bathroom window open to allow for airflow.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful, the highlight of the hotel. The plumbing had issues, but that is about normal for Oaxaca. Everything else was great.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The walls are paper-thin, and you hear everything from your room. From the breakfast setup to the conversations on the terrace, it's impossible to sleep. I even asked the staff to move us or make other arrangements, but nothing worked.

Staff are courteous. The walls are paper thin, and unfortunately, I had to hear a man vomit every night for 5 nights in a row. The room wasn't as clean as I would've liked and the room can get a dingy smell if you don't put in the A/C and leave a window open. However, it felt safe, the bedding was clean, and the location is about a 10 min walk to the zócalo. Great for the simple traveler that isn't looking for any luxuries. Buffet breakfast is only good if you get there early.

All staff and personal was excellent, the only problem I had was the shower, the hot water and cold water would not stabilize. I talked to the gentleman in the front, and he told me he was going to talk to the technician but never heard back. In my five nights stay I was not able to take a comfortable shower.

There was a few things I didn't like. First, the water in the shower will not go down the drain PLUS The pressure was as low as it gets. I understand that the low pressure was most likely because all showers probably share the same water tank. However, for the water not going down the drain, we had to ask two times for it to get fixed. Second, we were not informed that the lobby doors, which is the only entrance, closes at 10:00 pm. We were outside knocking for a few minutes until someone came out to open it. Lastly, The location was a bit further than than thought based on the map. Other than that the room was clean, modern, staff were nice, and the breakfast at the terrace was good with a rotating menu. If it wasn't for the shower not working for 2 days, my rating would have been higher.

Nice location and convenient

Everything was clean and the service was great. Breakfast was also better than I expected if that matters to you. Front desk and employees are also very nice and respectful. Overall it was good!

The room was clean, everything worked in our room! The breakfast was superb! The only thing that would improve the breakfast in the morning is a new toaster, only 2 slices at a time could be made instead of 4. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. There is a grocery store across the street. We were able to walk to dinner and meet up with the tours we booked. Highly recommended!

Hotel is very central to everything. My room was very clean, comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.

Clean room, good air conditioning, friendly staff. Someone was slamming a door at midnight and yelling. And it carries in the courtyard . Luckily I brought my earplugs .

The staff was great, rooms were clean, the complementar breakfast was perfect, and the secure parking was amazing!

If you don’t mind cold showers, this hotel is for you. The location is great, and the staff is very friendly

Staff was great!

This was a great hotel. Very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking was very easy and accessible. It was close to a lot of restaurants, vendors, and shopping areas within walking distance. Transportation to other towns is right at the corner from the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

Room , staff the only good was the breakfast

Hotel is in great location. Walking distance to pretty much all of downtown. Parking was free and right across street. Only issue is was that rhey charged me $220 pesos to give me room 1hr early. Our flight was changed and we arrive early morning 630am. We went straight to hotel to leave our luggage and to see if possibly can do early check in they said to come back at 12pm once people start checking out. We did and I would see cleaning crew finishing room after room and I kept asking if they had a room available for early check in as we were exhausted lady kept telling me no until I told her i was willing to pay as we hadnt slept in 24hrs. She changed her answer and said yes if i would pay they would give me a room now. This has never happened before we travel often and every hotel has always given us room early if available never tried to charged us. Not even 1 hr early where they willing to give us room they made us pay

Clean room

The Real Alma hotel is in an excellent location close to the city activities shopping and people. The staff is courteous and helpful and the buffet breakfast on the rooftop is great way to start the day.
