Incredible experience through and through.

Such a great place and location to enjoy the quiet side of Tulum beach and venture off to the party if desired. Food and drinks were great, service was great and the facilities were great.

Stayed in Room 1 which was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was solid. Be aware that the walls are VERY thin and this is NOT a party place.

Service was impeccable! Will be returning to this property for sure!

Dear La Valise Team, We were very much looking forward to our stay at your beautiful property, and while we truly appreciated the unique design and overall atmosphere, I wanted to share a few disappointments that impacted our experience. We had booked the suite with the rolling bed, and checked in around 4:00–4:30 PM, hoping to unwind and take a few photos before our 7:30 PM dinner reservation. Unfortunately, several issues took up most of that limited window: When I reached for the robes, both had noticeable yellow stains. I texted the staff for replacements, and also reported that the A/C remote wasn’t working—important since the doors cannot be opened with the A/C on. It took nearly an hour to receive the new robes and for someone to look into the A/C issue. While I understand things can take time, the service felt very slow, especially during a time-sensitive part of our stay. Additionally, while I was getting ready, the staff troubleshooting the A/C appeared to be having a serious conversation about The A/C, which made the situation feel uncomfortable. Lastly, our booking on Expedia mentioned a complimentary bottle of wine in the suite, which we never received—something I had been looking forward to after the delays. While we truly loved the ambiance and would have enjoyed staying longer, I left feeling disappointed that we weren’t able to take the photos I envisioned, especially given the reputation and rate of the property. Absolutely wonderful!

Staff was great :) we were able to walk and ride the bikes that were provided to go to various spots around the hotel!

It was a STUNNING hotel and the rooms are quite beautiful. We had a reservation at Nu Tulum and the food was exceptionally beautiful and delicious, as well as the service. Our first night, we really wanted rest and our room happened to be near the restaurant where a wedding was taking place. This was never mentioned in our booking and it was EXTREMELY loud til midnight. I did eventually call the front desk and they offered for us to move rooms (which I was too tired to do). The next night, they upgraded us to the beachfront side since it became available and we had wanted to book that originally. It was still very loud that night with another wedding, but not quite as loud. Just know that it may not be as quiet and relaxing as you think at night. However, the service is excellent, the people were so beautiful and wonderful. And the beach side was just an incredible view. We loved it. I would stay again, but not if I really needed a quiet night. 🙂 Just be aware. Still a 9.8/10.

Everything was great

This place is PERFECT! Walk out your door and there is the beautiful sea. The staff are fantastic! Eddie, Carlos, Alberto and many more are just so friendly and there to help you decompress. Its not so close to hotel zone so is a little quieter. Endless beach walks await!

We stayed on the beach side in the main hotel. The room was beautiful and looked out right on the beach. The staff was first class and super helpful for anything we needed. Would definitely recommend La Valise!

Mi experiencia en La Valise fue absolutamente extraordinaria. Desde el momento en que llegué, me sentí como en casa, gracias a la cálida bienvenida del personal y al ambiente acogedor del hotel. La atención al detalle es impecable, desde la decoración hasta los servicios personalizados que hicieron de mi estancia algo inolvidable. Las habitaciones son un verdadero refugio de paz, combinando comodidad con un diseño sofisticado. Me encantó la amplitud del espacio, la cama increíblemente cómoda, Cada rincón del hotel refleja un gusto exquisito, haciendo que la experiencia sea visualmente impresionante y relajante al mismo tiempo. El servicio fue impecable durante toda mi estancia. El personal no solo fue amable, sino que se anticipó a todas mis necesidades de manera sutil y eficiente. Sentí que cada miembro del equipo estaba genuinamente comprometido con hacer de mi estancia algo perfecto.

The view from the dining hall is breathtaking!! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms and the amenities are nice. In the warmer months, I’d recommend the beach/garden side rooms. The jungle side rooms are great but the run warmer is summer months. There are a lot of dining options and experiences nearby.

First of all the property has amazing and friendly staff, very nice food and a super beautiful view on the beach from the breakfast place on the beach side. The room we booked had a very pretty bedroom and outside area with small pool, however the upstairs terrace looked down into dirty jungle (empty bottles and cans) and the area looked sad (2 dirty old hammocks and that’s it). All that wouldn’t have put me off but to get to your sink and toilet you had to leave the room through a door so the sink is outside in the heat with all the insects and the toilet had an open roof which resulted me finding a variety of scary insects. After one night we asked if they have any rooms with bathroom inside and OMG we got a huge upgrade thanks to the manager Nathalie. It was a beautiful outstanding suite which would have been perfect if the AC was stronger and the hotel was cleaner and in better condition in general.
