We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Ryad. Adil, his wife and staff have been attentive and gave us good tips/advises during our stay. We booked for pick-up from airport through Adil and we were glad as it ease the arrival to the Ryad at night. The chicken tajine that night was delightful. We booked a day tour with Adil and his wife. They were very kind and gave us a special offer that the day trip clearly states the price is per room. The offered us the room price for our family as our son has a separate room. We booked the massage and spa at the Ryad and it was excellent. The Ryad is located not by the main square but easy enough to get there and also the other souks. It is located in a quiet part of Medina so we were not disturbed by the noisy night life and slept well. There is a roof terrace that is very private and we enjoyed resting up there to soak up the sun.

This is a traditional Riad. Beautiful & clean. Located inside the old city Medina near Bab Yocout which will grant you access in and out the Medina. Leaving the Riad, turn right and keep walking, when you reach the end turn left onto the main road and continue all the way to the souks. Leaving the Riad turn left, another left at the corner and another left at the next corner, this brings you to the wall of the city and the gate Bab Yocout. Outside Bab Yocout you can catch a cab. The owners where present during our stay providing answers to all our questions, and acting liaisons and translators when needed. We were checked in by "Lemi"- a wonderful young man who spoke English and coordinated our stay. If you want authentic home cooked SLAMMING Moroccan food, EAT HERE!. The ladies in the kitchen make everything from scratch and take any reasonable requests. You will taste the difference when eating outside in a restaurant vs here at the Riad. The room service was great, We even asked the Riad late one night to please have our clothes washed and dried for the next morning and they did!!!. We booked private tours with the Riad for Essaouira and Ouzoud waterfalls. The trips were amazing. The drivers provided so many essential tips such as to what the purchase, where to purchase, how much to pay and how to negotiate price! Having this insight was priceless because it equips you with the power and knowledge to really enjoy your vacation. We were treated like family and I loved it

Horrible !!! Me and my boyfriend were followed around the Medina by a man “offering us directions” even though we repeatedly said no and we were not lost. This isn’t why it’s a one star review because this is common in certain areas of the Medina. I’m giving this hotel ONE STAR because the owner would not let me and my boyfriend in until we “tipped” for the services the “guide” provided. EVEN THOUGH WE KNEW WHERE THE HOTEL WAS AND WERE HARASSED. Shame on the owner, she should have let her guests in regardless smh!! Don’t come here !!

I booked two rooms for this property, however on arrival were were told that there was only one room available. The host offered to find a room in another riad, however as we were in a hurry to get out and explore (we had less than 24 hours to see the sights) we didn't argue and instead just took the one room shared (but for the price of the two rooms). I can see from other reviews that this has happened before at this property. I would suggest Hotels.com follow this up and sort out immediately as it is not really acceptable to sell rooms that you don't have. This was very disappointing. Aside from that, the facilities were all good in the property, nothing negative to say about that.

Deceitful hosts. We arrived at the Riad and with very little welcome. Tattered furnishing dusty tables, no hand soap towel or tissue in lobby bathroom. We were told that we will Be staying at another riad for one night ‘riad coloures du sud Marrakech. The assistant lady told us we were double booked and someone else is staying in our room and that we will have it the next day while having to stay at another riad. As this was not communicated with us prior and we did not feel we will be settled having to move again after our first night and only having such a short trip that we asked to be refunded so we can stay elsewhere. They refused and we were told To contact Expedia. We did. We explained the situation that our room Was double Booked and we are being asked to stay elsewhere at a place we have little information. Expedia’s assistant Mikal called the Riads manager Adil and Adil told Expedia that renovations were being done on the room and that is the reason. And no refunds will be given. This is now two different stories about what’s happening with our room. 1. A double booking 2. Renovations Expedia also told us that no one else is checked into the hotel but we saw the occupants and even took pictures. So the Riad is taking guest that Expedia does not know about. We asked to see the room and it’s renovations and they refused us. Very deceitful hosts, at our expense we booked another hotel after trying to sort the situation out for 2hours

Our stay at this hotel from start to finish was pretty comfortable. There were a few instances which made the experience unsatisfactory, but on the whole we enjoyed our 4 nights at Riad Amiran. We arranged pick-up from the airport with the hotel and we found our driver waiting patiently outside even though our flight was delayed by 2 hours. We compensated him for the wait (tip the driver, don't pay him for the journey like we did. This is charged by the hotel afterwards). Tired and hungry, we arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time. Now usually when this happens, the hotel is happy for me to leave my luggage and allow me to go off to explore/eat/shop etc. In this case we sat there for 50 minutes with light refreshments as a hotel staff went off to clean a room. I didn't expect to be checked-in (although I have been when it's only an hour or so early), but we sat there until exactly 2pm when she returned and showed us to our room. We came downstairs 10 minutes later with the intention of going to eat and was greeted by one of the owners. She was informative and gave some good tips and advice, although I found her approach somewhat condescending. We met the owner, Adil and another member of staff who were incredibly polite, welcoming and extremely approachable. We found the female owner/staff member arrogant, hostile and just a tad rude. We saw her twice when we came down to breakfast and she completely ignored our presence.

Breakfast was huge and delicious--more than we could eat (fruit, cakes, 1-2 pancake types, baguette, jams, honey, tea and coffee). My husband would have liked a savory option, but solved this by buying cold cuts at Carrefour (20+ minute walk away). Very comfortable bed. Nice seating area on the roof - cool and breezy in the evening. Refrigerator and hairdryer in the room. We were quite happy w/o television. Recommend bringing a reading light/torch as overhead/bedside lights are a bit dim and leaving the windows onto the courtyard open leads to lack of privacy. Earplugs might be useful to have as occasionally other guests can talk loudly at breakfast or in the courtyard and the sound travels. (It depends on who is staying. There were also very quiet days.) WIFI was a bit slow, but sufficient for email/surfing the internet, insufficient for work-related use with lots of downloading/uploading or skype conferences. Easy walk (20 min) to Jemaa el Fna square and to the souks. Colorful greenmarkets near the ryad. Nice hammam nearby (Mythic Oriental Spa; tourist-oriented) - best massage I've ever had. We also splurged and went to Latitude 31, which was 100 meters from the ryad. Beautiful dinner on our first night in Morocco. Overall, a wonderful experience and a good night's sleep every night.

I was initially shocked by the surrounding areas near the Riad but once inside the building, it was so relaxing and serene. All staff from manager to cleaners were very helpful. The location is well within walking distance of the majority of marrakech. I always had a tidy room and comfortable bed to come to from my sightseeing. I will definitely be back here with friends in the future.

Adil and his staff treat you like family and are very friendly. The hotel kindly picked me up at the airport. Upon your arrival you will be welcomed with some fabulous mint tea. The hotel is very clean and quiet. All rooms face onto a very nice inner court yard. The hotel is fabulous as it is small you have the opportunity to meet other guests at the free breakfast every morning. The hotel WIFI works really well. I had the pleasure of taking a site seeing tour with the hotel and leaned a lot about Morocco. The hotel is an oasis of tranquility in the midst of the old city and has a gorgeous roof top deck. I will stay at the Ryad Amiran again and would happily recommend the Ryad Amieran to others. Thanks for the great stay!

This riad is situated off a side street. It is a comfortable riad, with attentive staff. Be careful not to get lost, follow the main square signs closely once in the souks. Beware of people offering you directions. The room (Saphire) was of a good size, the shower was very good and all toiletries well catered for. Lovely patio on the roof, we would suggest you take breakfast on the roof if weather permits.

Inconvenient location (taxi expensive from here and long walk to Jamaa el Fna) despite local help. Breakfast is only carbs and sugar. If you arrange trips thru them, get in writing and not pay in advance: we arranged a trip from Marrakesh to Fez with stops in Casablanca and Rabat- paid what they asked with no haggling. But got exactly opposite - old car, non English speaking driver who told us 3 hours into the trip in Casablanca that he did not have license for Rabat. Much enjoyed and had better value at our stay in a conveniently located 5 star hotel with excellent breakfast that are available on "sale" often for a little bit more than Riad prices. Riad experience good but maybe for one day only, but for those who like 'conveniences' and services like reliable travel planning , other options abound.

The first thing that hits you about Ryad Amiran is the beautiful smell of incense that subtly permeates the entire riad. The second thing that you notice is the fantastic customer service and smiling faces all around, especially Adil, Naima, and Meryem. No task was too big, nor any query too mundane. Their professionality really puts ones mind at rest and lets you enjoy your stay, and overall holiday. The riad is very clean, the room plus en-suite shower were immaculate, and it is a place I can see myself coming back to again and again. Choukran bezzaf Ryad Amiran!
