Was under construction/maintenance upon arrival, but their staff was beyond helpful with dropping our bags, getting us coffees, and giving us tons of info about the area despite the chaos. Check in was smooth, comfy bed, hot shower, I would stay again!

Overall, the location is central and very close to the main train station (5 min walk). The rooms themselves were comfortable enough, and it looked like they were making updates to other rooms during my stay. It was also nice to have the espresso/coffee maker in the lobby. I do, however, have to single out an employee at the desk named Key, who was confrontational when checking in. For context, I booked and paid for my stay via Expedia and made sure to pay the remaining city tax balance prior to my in-person check-in. Despite this, he insisted that I still owed an additional €400+ even after showing proof of payment on both Expedia AND their own website. He ended up essentially double-charging me for the stay. When I went to the front desk the next morning and spoke with a different employee, they were able to refund me. Based on what she said, it sounds like this wasn't the first time this happened. For those looking to book your stay here, make sure they check their Expedia account from their end, as that is where your payment sits until they accept it.

This is one of the loudest hotels i have ever stayed in. I am writing this at 4am having been woken up for a 3rd time by either the guests or the staff having no consideration for the guests trying to sleep. From people loudly conversing outside our door to the staff and their booming voice this hotel has been terrible. The pillows ars super uncomfortable and the curtains block zero light so it is lit up like a Christmas tree in our room at all times. The shower is decent, but thats about it. £250+ a night is a joke and i would never stay here again nor aould I recommend it to anyone else.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. Positives - ideal location, friendly staff and they checked us in early. Negatives - room was disappointing- no showers screen so bathroom floor got soaked when we showered, only 1 mirror in room - above sink and no power outlet so struggled with hairdryer/straighteners for hair. Room was very bare - no ‘design’ features at all which I was expecting as a boutique hotel. Worst aspect was the room was on the 7th floor - 2 lifts needed and then a set of stairs. We found this really difficult with our luggage and there was no offer of help with this. When I mentioned it on checkout, I was told they would have helped if we had asked! We certainly would have asked if we’d had any idea of the challenge to access the room. They would have known though, and I really feel help should have at least been offered. Overall the stay was okay but a little more thought with both room set up and assistance would have made our short stay more enjoyable.

Barbara at the front desk was extremely thoughtful. We had our 5 month old son with us and she made sure we were able to use the elevator to our room, she was also able to get us in early after a long travel day all without being asked. It was above and beyond expectations. There is also a fancy coffee machine in the lobby that we were very greatful for. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back for a longer stay in the future.

The entrance on Damrak is a little obscure, and walking down the narrow hallway behind a coffee shop left us unsure of what to expect—but once inside, the experience was a pleasant surprise. We met three different staff members during our stay and all were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was small, with the bed running wall to wall, so there was no space to walk around it—one of us had to climb over the bed to reach the other side. However, the bed was extremely comfortable, very clean, and well supplied with fresh linen and pillows. A big plus was that the window could be opened, which helped with the stuffy hotel rooms we encountered elsewhere in Europe during winter. The bathroom was compact and basic but exceptionally clean, fully functional, and the shower was excellent. Shampoo/body wash was provided, and we were amused to find the hairdryer stored in the safe. The location is outstanding—around a five-minute walk from Centraal Station and within easy walking distance of everything we needed for our two-day stay. With a late flight, we were offered a free midday checkout or 1:30 pm for 20% of the nightly rate (about AUD$33), which was well worth it. Secure luggage storage was also available for as long as needed. The hotel spans two buildings, making access a bit of a maze, with small lifts typical of older European buildings. Overall, excellent value for such a central location in a major European city.
