Ramada Suites by Wyndham Queenstown Remarkables Park

Our room smelled terribly. It had grease/fat smells (and also other) which we thought might be coming from a cafe kitchen in the building but later guessed they were from a previous guest. As reception had closed there was no way to address this problem so were left to sleep in a smelly room.

Disappointing stay - Ramada is tired and grubby Still managed to charge a premium price for Franton Queenstown. Air Conditioning was broken as it was 3 months ago ( read other past reviews ) the excuse that the maintenance man had gone home for the day and I was told to there was a heater in the wardrobe (how convenient) the notice with the portable heater however must used sitting a a piece of wood and not directly on the carpet in case of scorching. Wouldn’t make any difference the carpet is well used, grubby and stained. No compensation or apology offered. This is certainly not your finest Marsden Group spend some money and refurbish !

Easy access, parking is not guaranteed despite saying “free parking”

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and tidy. The parking was a bit hard as there wasn’t allocated parking for each room.

Food have enough options for after a long sport day. Supermarket and pharmacy also in the walk distance. Even if you want, you can go to airport by 15-20mins walk. Very convenient.

Good with the price

Poor value for the price, unhelpful staff, facilities not up to what you'd expect in 2025. Can't recommend.

I had stayed here previously and was happy but this time was pretty average. The bedside lamp shade was at a drunken angle, I had to search for the remote which was under the sofa and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher

Quite, shops are walking distance room are clean.

Wonderful surprise to be upgraded to a lovely 2 bedroom apartment. Was only for one night but was nice to have the extra room.

Comfy bed but uncomfortable seating. TV selection was abysmal for end of day. Staff in eatery downstairs could not get an order right on any of the 3 days.

Could be more clean. Communication was good. No vaccum has been done even we asked for it. Property is in old condition . We accommodated just because of kitchen but was too small.

Stayed here in April 2025 with a friend. Was only here for one night prior to a flight out of Queenstown. Did not explore the area much, as we mostly just got the suite with laundry as we were half way done our trip. But the area was close (walking distance) to shopping and many food options. Room was spacious and clean. Shower was clean with good water pressure.

Nice hotel, clean friendly staff. We stayed twice on our second visit we had a haunted television set that would turn on whenever it felt like it. We had to unplug it so we could be sure it wouldn't wake us up.

The property and room was fantastic. We arrived after 8pm as we were making our trek from Christchurch. It wasn’t made clear that no one would be at reception after 7pm. Luckily one person in our family had data to phone international roaming calls. It took about 5-6 tries before we made a connection. After that, we followed the instructions for the lock box. The minimal amount of property support should be made clear at time of purchase.

I thought the availability of larger screen tvs are needed along with cable television. Channel choices?

Customer service was terrible. You do not expect such service from a international hotel chain like Ramada. We stayed there for 4 nights and room hasn’t been serviced not even for one day and no change of towels or sheets even though we have specifically put the sign “make up my room” and personally asked reception for it. They states there is free parking available for guests but when we reached there we have been told we have limited spots available and are available for first come first serve basis, if you cant get spot here you need to park at Paid public parking near hotel. Why then I am paying such a high price to book room in Ramada, if I can’t even get a secured free parking?
