Olala Cosme Apartments

The property was clean with lots of accommodations. The walls are very thin, if you get noisy neighbors like I did you will hear every step they made and it echos through the whole building. Portuguese people go to sleep late so it was noisy until 1am. Recommend if you are sound sleeper, otherwise stay somewhere else.

This place was disappointing but acceptable for our trip. It was not what we were expecting from the pictures, but was OK in the end. My thoughts on this property: PROS: - Good neighborhood, easy to get to Porto sights - Clean enough and well stocked kitchen for a short stay. You could actually cook here. - A/C worked great, bright and sunny space CONS: - Horrible beds - Very little space to sit outside of on a bed - checking in is quite a process. READ the check in email and complete the process the day before! - I have seen larger bathrooms on planes. - Actual unit was pretty rough compared to pictures. - Pretty loud throughout the night when guests are coming and going. Bottom line is it was just a bit above a hostel experience. If you are 20 years old, not in the room much, and saving cash, it will be perfect. If you are having a nice visit with your spouse, look for a better room.

Local um pouco sujo, com cheiro ruim. Sem armarios, banheiro muito pequeno. A maquina de secar roupa nao estava funcionando e nao tivemos ajuda da equipe sobre isso. Nao tivemos a melhor experiencia neste local.

Terrible apartment. Terrible service. Check-iin was very difficult and the room was mis-described. We left and did not even stay. Several guests were complaining at the same time. There was no reception, it is being decorated. It is all remote from Spain. I am awaiting a refund. Worst experience ever on Hotels.com

As some other reviews mentioned, this property doesn’t have 24-hour service. I can’t tell what hours customer service works, but initially they were responsive. Upon arrival, the provided door code didn’t work. If you check in outside of the hours that cleaning crew is there, you risk being stranded. I say this because the very last night, it appeared that the front door stopped working for all guests. I immediately raised the issue to customer service via chat. After a few minutes dealing with their bot, it said I’m being connected to customer service agent. This was almost 72 hours ago and no one still has responded. Luckily, someone was able to open the door from the inside. I’ve since left the property and will not stay at any of their properties again and I recommend you do not either. The risk and terrible customer service is not worth it.

No one at the proterty to help. Ckeck-in is done online and it took multiple time before it accept the passport photo. Soneone triggered the fire alarm before midnight, but the property cannot do anything until the next morning!!! The alarm just ring for the whole night.

The online paperwork, was a little of a pain and having to find a place to get Wi-Fi access so I could get the cobe was inconvenient, but once we got in I was surprised by how good the place was. A move selection of food and drink in the room. Tools to let you self cater, a nice view in our room 2b. A great place for the price once you get in.

Good location, within walking distance of old town.

Some pretty steep cement stairs to climb to get to the door. Slippery when wet. Average location.

Very clean, good breakfast, quiet area. Would return again on my next trip to Porto.

The staff were so helpful and kind. Great breakfast each day and in a very central location. When I go back to Porto I will definitely stay with them again.

Very clean and comfortable and great value for money. Did not go there for the amenities. But they did have s nice continental breakfast and the air conditioning worked great.

Everything was ok. The staff was very friendly. Nice area.

The hotel was easy to find with our GPS and we were able to park across the street. The hotel was an easy walk to the old part of town and there were several restaurants nearby. We were welcomed and given much information about sightseeing and how to get to the interesting places. I would highly recommend this guest house.

Overall, the guesthouse was fine, the host was pleasant, the area was nice. However, wifi wasn't working 90% of the time, and the toilet button was very hard to press. It would be nice if the guesthouse offered breakfast since most of options in the area include only pastries.

Pros: We had a spacious apartment to accommodate three of us at a reasonable price. The apartment was clean with a functional kitchen. Cons: No phone to call reception (which was in a nearby guesthouse) No breakfast served (hard to find nearby as well)

Cosme is a cool, modern hotel within 15 mins' walk of the centre. We received a very friendly welcome, were offered drinks and given a very helpful introduction to the city and a map marking key places to see. The room was bright and decorated nicely and looked out on an attractive, quiet side street. There was a kettle and coffee and tea provided. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic - a generous selection of breads, pastries, jams, fruit, cereal, eggs etc. all presented nicely on a sideboard in an attractive breakfast room. A really nice place, perfect for exploring Porto. We'd definitely stay again.

A great hotel with a very nice staff and the location was safe and walkable....loved it.
