Raffles has been a dream for me for most of my life and I booked to celebrate my 60th birthday and WOW!,what a celebration. All the staff at Raffles make you feel welcome and extra special for the duration of your stay making you feel like you are the only guest in the hotel. The hotel itself is breathtakingly beautiful and the rooms sumptuous - I honestly do not know how you could make any occasion more special Thank you all

Beautiful hotel great service

While housed in an historic building the hotel has been fully updated, providing impeccable quality accommodation with oversized rooms. What makes it very special is the exceptional service by a dedicated staff each of whom recognize each guest by name, the variety and quality of the restaurants and bars, and the history behind the hotel.

A stunning stay. A special mention for the the team in the Writers Bar - sorry I don’t know his name (German gentlemen) so friendly and left us with a gift based on our conversation - it’s memories like this that make people keep coming back to Raffles!!

How fancy is raffles hotel? Well, it’s so fancy that if you’re in the front room, there are no less than 4 doors between you & the toilet! There’s a door between the sitting room & the bedroom, another between the bedroom & the closet area, a bathroom door, then a door to the toilet itself. When my girlfriend said she had to “go powder her nose,” I felt secure. With as much charm as I could muster I sweetly asked her to close all the doors. She shot back a look of cold malice, but with satisfaction, I heard her shut all of the doors. But after a few minutes, to my horror, wafted the most noxious odors. I’m sure my girlfriend won’t mind me, saying this, especially because she never reads these reviews. But if she does, darling, my computer has been hacked again. But seriously, if you’re going to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a hotel room, this is the place!

It’s an amazing hotel and staff were truly excellent!! That said, it’s a bit stuffy and not sure appropriate for anyone below the age 65. I would highly recommend it to anyone, but do keep in mind the rooms have no view, so they feel almost suffocating.

Historical hotel with modern amenity. Great service. Highly recommend it.

Probably the best hotel we have stayed at. The only problem is the cost of drinks. A manhattan in the Writers bar was $60.00 each and a miniature bottle of gin from the room mini bar was almost $90.00. These are excessive charges and I would not buy any alcoholic beverages at Raffles.
