Philstay Myeongdong Boutique - Hostel

No common area. No bathroom inside the room. Common share bathroom. Feel not much room. Not like other Philstay that I stayed before.

Good location, close to subway line 4 and Myeongdong shopping area. Safe for solo travellers. Simple breakfast. Stuffy room. The AC remote was taken away and cannot be used. Bathroom facilities were mouldy and dusty and needs repair. Staff often cleans common area. Staff generally nice Online photos should be updated. Quiet time is between midnight and 7am. Not good if you sleep earlier as majority of other guests will come back around 11pm. I was right by the door and across the bathroom door and can hear everything. Ask for

The place is near to to eateries and etc however the place is a bit too crowded. Often need to wait for shower. The area is also quite cramp and only good for a night rest.

Very bad experience during the recent stay Room filled with guests from China who talked so loudly at night and made inconsiderate request of switching OFF the air-conditioning in a room of EIGHT with NO WINDOWS, which means NIL ventilation, by reason of having flu I felt very sick of the people occupying the room who doesn't really know what is being considerate Will probably not choosing this to stay unless I have no option as I do not want to meet such users again

The beds were really comfortable and had a blind for privacy. The bathrooms and showers and were clean and there were a lot so I never had an issue with needing to wait to use one. There were blowdryers everywhere for me to use along with cotton pads and swabs. The location was super convenient since it was right across from the myeongdong shopping area. The staff were friendly and great people to converse with. Totally reccomend.

Close to metro station n the bustling Main Street. The hostel common area and hostel room is warm However the toilet/ bathing area is kinda cold during winter which makes it a little uncomfortable. Staffs were great and bfast provided were not too bad.

A hostel is very near from Subway exit 4. It’s very great hostel.

Good location, near subway, near shopping center, bed is not much clean I was seen someone hair on the bed. Breakfast is good

This place is an okay hostel. It's women only and there is a simple breakfast provided daily. They have a locker under the beds and also larger lockers downstairs if you need more space. The place was clean apart from the last day I was there when another person who was staying there vomited all over the bathroom floor. The staff member on site didn't do anything about it or get a cleaner to clean it straight away. My room was full towards the end of my stay and the rooms are quite small so can get a bit stuffy with no air. It was kind of gross because one of the girls was sick and I could hear her coughing and sniffling. I checked out early because of this and the bathroom incident. The guests are not too social in this hostel and don't say hello... maybe it's just the environment of the place. They are quite loud when coming in and out of the rooms which is a bit inconsiderate in my opinion. It's not a bad place. The condition of it is nice, but I feel the atmosphere and rules could be managed better.

Front desk charged me 20,000 Korean won for deposit although my room was paid off at booking. When I check out this morning, nothing was mentioned nor return... please arrange refund. Thank you.

Incredible staff and accommodation.

Positive- the staff were helpful and friendly. For a solo traveller, the facilities were everything I needed. A bed to sleep in, warm shower and security. Only 1 minute walk from the subway, McDonald's, a bakery, a juice shop. Myeongdong is a great area with endless shopping across the road from the Hostel. Under bed locker was large enough to fit my big wheeler luggage. Room keycard and locker key were great. I didn't get to take advantage of the daily free breakfast. Actual bed area was great. Generous room space with a shade for privacy. Blocked out all light. Negative- If you have a problem with "sharing" a shower with someone, then this place may not be for you. Small frosted partitions between the 3 showers in the shower room. It wasn't a problem for me but there was a girl who kept looking out for when the shower room was completely empty so she could feel comfortable. The busy rush hours from 8-10pm are heavy. Lots of girls coming in and out of the bathroom, toilets and shower rooms were messy at those times. Also, most girls are awake at that time so if you sleep in, you may be disturbed with all the coming in and out of the room. However, these are all understandable since it is a Hostel. Overall- enjoyed my stay! I'd definitely stay there again.

The hostel is near Myeongdong exit 4. And there is a escalator for exit 3 which is 30 meters away from exit 4.

Very comfortable and quiet room. The stuff are friendly and very willing to help. Across the street from busy shopping district with delicious street food. Would stay here again.

You get so much more from this place than the price you pay. It's even better than the photos you see. I am really picky about cleanliness and service and I have to say that this is the cleanest and friendliest hostel I have ever been to. It is also really convenient - under 5 minute walk to Myeongdong shopping districts and to the subway station. This place is a must if you are traveling alone in Korea and you wanna stay in the metro area with a low budget!

—旅舍距離明洞站十分近，樓下也有餐廳， 過一條大馬路也有ISAAC吐司很讚 —旅舍內部沒有樓梯，帶行李箱的可能會辛苦一點， 白天時間沒有鎖門，貴重物品要隨身攜帶！ —旅舍老闆跟職員服務都很好，但晚上房間很悶，開了空調也覺得不到有風
