Shilla Stay Samsung COEX Center

Shilla Stay Samsung COEX Center is a very nice hotel overall with a great location across the street from a large shopping mall. The staff was very friendly at check in and check out. They even gave me 2 free gifts! The room itself was also very nice and clean. Only con I noticed was that the shower wasn't completely sealed and some water leaked out onto the rest of the bathroom floor, but that wasn't a big deal. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area!

Great location. Samsung station is right next to it. Front staff was wonderful. She was professional and courteous. Very informative. I wish all hotel staff is like her. Room was great. Clean. Love the bathroom. Will definitely stay again.

Staff is always nice and accommodating

Loved the convenience for COEX mall, aquarium and temple. No room service and no takeaway service for food in bar was a pain, forcing us to go outside for takeout if we didn’t want seated dining. Breakfast buffet was very nice but ended too early.

Great location and poor condition

Everything was great! Very nice spacious clean rooms for very reasonable price! And perfect location right outside subway entrance and across mall. Only thing was the elevators are pretty slow. But other than that we loved and would definitely stay here again.

Great staff and stay. I did a business trip for 14 days. There is some construction outside the hotel currently. So be aware that it is loud outside. I honestly think they should include breakfast for guests staying above 10 days. It was a little expensive compared to the other hotels in the area for breakfast. Also, the apple pay not working for the breakfast buffet was very irritating. One day it would work, the next day it would not work.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff, and close to convention center and other stores

The location is excellent, close to subway and Coex Mall. The room is on the smaller side, but loved the bed/ mattress/ sheets.

- Loud all night, can't get sleep - Massive construction right in front of the hotel (closed down the street). Looks like construction is just starting (today is June 9/2025) so be aware when booking this place. - Understaffed. When I call the front there's no one available to answer 50% of the time. - My room didn't get cleaned one night because they forgot. Goes to show how understaffed and mismanaged they are. - Because they're understaffed, some staff are very impatient with you & borderline rude. (some are lovely) - No concierge - Bedding feels rough and low quality :( - I had to extend my stay because my business trip got extended. I had no time to change hotels or rooms but if i did, I would've. In total I spent 10 days here, and endured through the loud noise each night... :( I complained nicely about it and they supplied me with earbuds. When I complained the second time, the manager did call me back personally to apologize and to offer a meal at their buffet. But it's still not worth the lack of quality sleep. What i liked about it: - Location: right in front of the subway exit & coex mall - Rooftop cafe has a gorgeous view on a clear day

Overall experience was ok but the air quality was really poor especially due to the outside construction and the hallways were very humid with not enough ac. Hotel needs to card for their air quality with air purifiers installed to better customer experience. Location was great.

The property is ideally located near COEX and Starfield Mall and has great access to public transport. It's a shame that there was construction outside for 7 d/w. Great rooftop bar, laundry was great for a long stay, staff were very helpful. Loved the soap and shampoo in the bathroom! Gym too small/limited for a long stay.

Shilla Stay Coex is clean and conveniently located, with excellent accessibility to COEX and nearby subway stations.

This hotel is my staple for annual trip to Seoul. Besides the convenient location for shopping and transportation, the breakfast buffet is my favopart of the stay.

The hotel does not provide any North American News Channel. There are Korean, French, Australian, Japanese and Chinese channels.

To preface, my daughter and I stayed here only 2 months ago on a bike trip. We liked the location, and we enjoyed our "Netflix" room with bed. But we could not rent that room this time as we were now a party of three. Our room was so strange. Somwthing, a sign blocked our view, which was no problem. But, our thermostat was broken during our stay, and the room was over 28 degrees. The engineer came to fix it in the morning as it was apparent that it was a bigger issue and the heat was no longer bearable. I tried to explain to the front desk, but there was no manager on duty (conveniently) until 2pm, and a trainee completed my checkout---though I did not receive any receipt of my stay. Buffet is medicore. There are far more interesting options if you walk across the road to COEX.
